The Godless Realms saga, on the other hand, deals with the outcome of the world, now bereft of its gods. Among the Asians Final Fantasy 14 are destroyed, their paragons are defeated, and their overlords are scattered and declining. The people of Etheirs are now free to follow their dreams and find their own paths…or at least, so it was thought.

in time Final Fantasy 14 In patch 7.5's main scenario quest, players learned some shocking truths. The Ascian Halmarut reveals that, without the Hydelin to keep the Source and its reflection separate, Etheirys is naturally trying to reassemble itself into a single world. However, unlike the Ascians' attempts to revive the Zodiark, it has no regard for natural reattached life. If this event, called the solstice, occurs, all life in the source and its reflection will cease, and the world will essentially start from square one.

To stop the solstice, Halmarut has formed his own faction called the Winterers. The ninth shard features individuals of various reflections, such as Calyx, the protection leader from Alexandria FF14: DawntrailThe Winters seek artificial reconnection like the Aseans before them, but instead of reviving the Zodiark to prevent total destruction. While that seems like a noble goal, if Calyx's modus operandi in Alexandria is any indication, the Warriors of Light and the Scions of the Seventh Dawn do not approve of their modus operandi. Thus, the saviors of Etheirys are faced with two goals: preventing the Winters from performing their inevitably brutal reconnection, while figuring out how to stop the Solstice from destroying all life on the star.

How Final Fantasy 14: Evercold Plays Into the Godless Realms Saga

And where we're going next

Enter Evercoldanother one Final Fantasy 14 The expansion is coming in early 2027, and the first serious quest in the Godless Realms Saga story. Although they are smart enough not to take Essian at his word, the Scions of Seventh Dawn are taking the threat of Solstice seriously. And, at the end of the patch 7.5 story, Calyx gave the Warrior of Light an important clue: she and Halmarut were going to the Fourth Reflection to check on Winterer there.

Fourth is the teaser trailer for Shard players Evercoldand the main setting of the extension. According to Calyx, the reflection is a utopia afflicted by a terrible frost that has driven its citizens to build huge, magical kingdoms in the sky. Filled with crystalline formations, wondrous Norse-themed architecture, and mysterious arcane monsters roaming the land, The Fourth is a strange and wondrous world that promises great adventure and danger in equal measure.

It is currently unclear whether the frost that caused the fourth plague was a result of the impending solstice, but it may be connected. Similarly, Winterer's identity is a mystery, as only four new characters are seen. Evercold Trailer: A one-eyed Auri man, a praying Auri girl, an older narrator, and a young Auri audience. Although the child and the narrator are likely innocent, the other two, or another character yet to be introduced, may be Halmarut's accomplices.

After all, there's no point in stopping Winterers if the solstice happens, and right now, the only way to stop it seems to be if the reflections are artificially reattached. For that, the Scions would have to find a way to somehow “deal” with the reflections by finding a safe way to rejoin them without potentially destroying the humans living there. Calyx confirms that the Winterers all have different motivations for helping Halmarut, but unlike many other villains. final fantasyAsians themselves are most interested in preserving humanity. If the Warrior of Light could figure out how to fix the godless realms without disaster, perhaps Halmarut could be convinced to help, though the other Winters would still have to stop.

All that said, the Godless Realm saga is just getting started Evercold. Beyond the source and the fourth, there are five other shards of Etheirs that were not reattached by the Aesians' disasters. Final Fantasy 14:

Using the Ethos, the interdimensional key connected to Azem's crystal, the Warrior of Light now has the ability to cross worlds. As they master this power, and perhaps figure out how to stop the solstice, it seems inevitable that they will visit other non-reunited reflections of Etheirys. Final Fantasy 14Especially the eighth and eleventh. It seems that the only way the Scions can stop Solstice from wiping out all life is to reconnect on their own terms in each reflection, meaning fans should prepare for a world-hopping adventure.
