The first official look at the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 movie has been revealed
On Twitter, the official Blumhouse account shared the first poster for Five Nights at Freddy's 2, confirming a December 5, 2025 release date and revealing that Toy Freddy will be in the film. Considering how well the animatronics were adapted for the first film, it's no surprise that Toy Freddy looks spot-on and he was ripped straight from the game.
While the toy animatronics have been confirmed for a while now thanks to behind-the-scenes images, the confirmation that Toy Freddy is going to be in the movie and a brand new look raises some interesting questions. For those who don't know, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (the game, that is) is actually a prequel to the first game and goes back to the beginning of the series.
The first movie also changed the chronology slightly and was set in the year 2000, where the game takes place in 1993.
While Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard both confirmed that they will be in the second movie, it seems that Blumhouse is taking a different approach with the sequel and its toy animatronics and making them appear after the first movie's chronology. That is, until Mike finds a way to travel back in time. God, I hope this is not the case.
