Very powerful characters in JJK

Sukuna Jujutsu Kaisen JJK 267

  • Jujutsu Kaisen had no shortage of powerful characters
  • Gozo and Sukuna top list

in the world of JJKAs fans know there are many powerful characters. Of course, when talking about strength, two characters come to mind and they are known to be the most powerful of their respective times. Sukuna is a character that often pops to mind when talking about the strongest, as he is the King of Curses and the man labeled as the strongest in history. Sukuna's strength is impeccable, and fans have seen her fight against some of the strongest characters in the series, both ancient and modern, and hold her own incredibly well. Sukuna's performance in the Shinjuku Showdown arc is a true testament to her strength, and deserves to claim the title of strongest in history. It is safe to say that fans were mesmerized by his performance.

I alone am honored in heaven and earth. – Gozo

Along with Sukuna, another character that often pops up in fans' minds when it comes to being the strongest in JJK is Gozo. Fans know Gozo as incredibly powerful and on the same level as Sukuna. These two characters were cut from the same cloth and just as Sukuna is said to be the strongest in history, Gozo is said to be the strongest in the modern era. These two characters fought an incredible battle in Shinjuku, and it was clear that they were evenly matched for the vast majority of the battle.

Gozo 0

While Gozo and Tsukune are at the top of the list when it comes to the strongest characters, there are a few others too, such as Toji and Maki, and of course, one cannot forget Kenzaku. These characters are usually the strongest, with Yuji and Yuta thrown into the mix as well. However, different characters in JJK excel at different aspects of combat. For example, some rely purely on their physical prowess, and some rely on their cursed techniques. When it comes to physical strength, the answer to who is the strongest may actually surprise fans.

A physically strong character in JJK

Gozo is not the strongest character physically

Gege was previously asked about his strongest character JJK Physically speaking. The answer to this question is not straightforward. When speaking of physical strength, one does not include powers such as cursed techniques, or attributes such as six eyes. Physical strength refers to how strong one is in terms of raw power, and the likes of Gojo and Sukuna certainly don't take the crown here, much to the surprise of fans. When Gage was asked who the physically strongest character is, this is what he said.

Q: Who has the strongest physical grip among Gozo, Megumi, Maki, Mai, Naobito, Naoya, Toji, Noritoshi, Noritoshi (Kenzaku), and Geto (Kenzaku)?

A: If we leave Toji and Maki, Kenzaku in Geto's body.

As evident from Gage's answer, the physically strongest character in JJK isn't even Gozo or Sukuna. The answer to the question is Kenzaku in Geto's body. As fans know, Kenzaku is a mighty powerful man. His power is truly impeccable but, often, he can be underestimated due to characters like Gojo and Tsukuna. In terms of physical strength, the fact that he is even superior to Gojo Satoru is proof that he is truly a legendary fighter.

JJK's editor reveals some interesting information about who Gage most resembles from JJK.

It should also be noted that the author specifically does not include characters such as Maki and Toji. This is simply down to the fact that they have heavenly restrictions that elevate their physical attributes to sky-high levels. In fact, they can't even see in combat and can do things like walk in mid-air using their physical strength alone. They are on a completely different level of physical strength, so the author chose to exclude them because it wouldn't be fair to the other magicians, who were handicapped in the situation.

Is Kenzaku underrated?

Kenzaku is one of the most underrated fighters

The question of whether or not Kenzaku is underrated is pretty easy to answer. Kenzaku is undoubtedly one of the most underrated characters JJK And that has a lot to do with Gage's portrayal of him over the years. At first, fans expected Kenzaku to be the main villain. However, due to how he was addressed in the Shinjuku Showdown arc, Kenzaku lost all respect from his fans. It's safe to say that the writer messed up the ending of Kenzaku's character, and it made him a somewhat forgettable character for fans. However, Kenzaku is underrated, regardless of what fans think. He is definitely one of the five most powerful magicians seen in JJK, and his highly elaborate planning led to the vast majority of plot points in the series. If that wasn't enough, fans should also keep in mind that Kenzaku is a magician who has beaten characters like Yuki in the past. Coming to power for him to defeat Yuki shows that he really is on a completely different plane.

Unfortunately, Kenzaku's ending was ruined by the writer and it left a sour taste in fans' mouths. Hopefully, fans will see the writer give more context to his death or, at the very least, give fans a flashback around Kenzaku's character sometime down the line, so they can better understand him, as well as all of his secrets. It goes back to ancient times.

The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, JJK 271, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
