HoYoverse reveals the open-world game of the year
HoYoverse has now announced year roundand presented the title with a 31-minute gameplay demo captured in-game via Nvidia RTX4090. At the start of the demo game, the player character known as Holoone is seen trying out for a mysterious organization called the SEALs, aka the Shadow Emergency Alliance. According to the description, the appearance of the player hero will change to “match the preferences of each viewer”. Much of the plot remains a mystery, but the demo introduces some concepts called the devastating Mindrot, and Cognosea disruption events. The player character briefly reveals her intentions through dialogue options, indicating that she wants to join the SEALs because an officer in the organization “killed her former self.”
After an introductory period exploring the SEAL offices, a tutorial combat segment unfolds, with the player character fighting monsters with an umbrella he's kept from a SEAL agent he “killed”. She uses swift combos, striking with both a closed and opened umbrella, which allows her to temporarily hover in mid-air, and at one point, performs a power-up technique that seems almost reminiscent of summoning individuals. Personality 3But the Evoker uses his hand instead. His umbrella can also be used as an auto-return thrown weapon, and as a method of transportation, as seen in one of his multi-level puzzle passages. So far there seems to be parity in the game ControlWith a decidedly creepy and depressing atmosphere.
Stealth combat is also an option, with an automatic kill move if the player manages to sneak up on an enemy without them noticing. She also uses the ability to stun enemies, giving them a moment to move in if spotted. Real-time combat segments also introduce two other characters, showing how they can quickly swap out to continue combos or use their unique moves to eliminate enemies. The end of the video shows some of the open worlds outside the SEAL offices that players will be able to explore via car and on foot.
unfortunately, year round No release date at this time. At the end of the video, HoYoverse revealed that they are hiring for several positions to work on the game, including programming, design, art, and marketing.
