Path of Exile 2: Crafting Guide
Here's everything you need to know about crafting in Path of Exile 2.
Are you looking to complete Ogham's Mad Wolf quest and get to Count Jeonor? You have come to the right place. In this guide, we're going to cover how to complete this quest, as well as a walkthrough on how to take down Geonor to complete Act One.
How to start Ogham's Mad Wolf
In order to complete Ogham's Mad Wolf, you first need to defeat the Executioner found in Ogham Village. This is part of said quest A trail of corruption, which appears later in Act 2.
For now, defeat the Executioner, talk to Laetis, teleport back to the Clearfall Encampment, and then Go back to where Laetis was and go through the gate to the wall.
If you want to quickly teleport to the provinces, you can Go there after talking to Leitis. There is a waypoint on the right as you enter. Once it is unlocked, you can then return to the camp and complete the quest.
How to reach Manor
Now, you are at Manor Ramparts. From here, you will need Search around the entrance to the manor. We followed a large U-shaped set of ramparts that looped over the manor gates. The trip to the manor is the easy part of this quest; But if you are at a slightly lower level, You can face dangerous enemies as soon as you step into the manor itself.
Inside the manor
The Manor is a level 15 area, however The halls here can be really tight. Like, you can easily swarmed by enemies, Many of which create Large HP-draining AoEs on the ground that look like blood. If you find yourself struggling against these enemies, Count Jeonor may be difficult for you.
Inside the manor, you'll find an alternate owner named Light a living ritual candle. This boss is on the first floor of the Manor in a church-like room. You can take Candlemass if you want; When defeated, he drops an item that gGives you a permanent HP boost when used. It's pretty easy, so if you're up for it, beat him.
In total, you will find Two stairs lead down to the manor, the third is an elevator that takes you to the arena with Geonor. There is a checkpoint right in front of this elevator, so if you die, You will only respawn here. You don't need to retrace your route from the waypoint on the first floor.
While exploring the manor, you can find Stairs that lead to smaller rooms. These can be filled with gold/gear, but you can also get what it looks like Geonor's bedroom.
How to beat Geonor
Time to defeat Geonor. Let's go through his main steps, and the moves he uses each time.
human form
In human form, dealing with Geonor will not be too difficult. During this part of the fight, He's no different than the other sword-wielding enemies. Still, his attacks can hit hard, so be careful Dodge-roll when necessary.

sword strike |
Geonor will thrust forward sending his sword projectile in a line. |
It can be easily dodged. |
Ice wall with sword slam |
Jeonor will send two walls of ice at Kon and then thrust his sword into the middle. |
The key is to avoid getting stuck in the ice cone. When his sword starts moving, run away. |
Basic melee sword swings |
Gaynor will swing his sword in front of him. He seems to be wandering while doing this. |
It can be easily dodged. |
Swing the big sword |
Jeonor will swing his sword in a great arc, leaving a trail of ice on the ground. |
When Geonor dashes forward, it means he is about to use this attack. At this point, the key is to dodge right when he swings. |
Wolf form
After being in human form for some time, Geonor will turn into a wolf. It's not permanent (yet); As a wolf and cycling through these attacks, He will return to man. At this stage, the attack to keep an eye on is AoE Slam. It can one-shot you If you don't ignore it.
In addition, it is important Avoid the ice from the sword in this stage. You don't want to get stuck being chased by the wolves that Geonor summons.

Icy Sword AoE |
Geonor will slam his sword into the ground while transforming into a wolf. The word will radiate an icy ground that will grow larger and freeze you. |
This trick is easily seen because of the ice. Still, when it's big, it can be difficult to avoid. If you must act on it, be sure to move quickly. |
Call the wolves |
Geonor will summon wolves to aid him. |
These are average additions that are not too hard to beat. To avoid being overwhelmed, try to get them out quickly. |
blood charge |
Geonor will create spheres of blood and then charge through them. |
Blood makes it easier to avoid this attack; When he is making rounds, run away from him. |
AoE Slam |
Geonor will be released temporarily, and then slam into the ground. Before he slams, you'll see a large red circle on the floor. |
Of course, it can be difficult to avoid this attack, especially if you are in the middle of the circle when it first appears. The best thing to do here is run to the edge and dog-roll away. |
Putrid Wolf Form
When Geonor's HP is low enough, you'll start to hear one Conversation between him and the Countess. After listening to them for a while, Geonor will turn into a strange looking wolf, Geonor, the Putrid Wolf. Unfortunately, this form will now full health.
At this point, the fight will probably be tough for you. Here at TheGamer, In this part of the battle we faced death again and again.

Giant ice spikes |
Geonor will slam his sword into the ground and a small circle of ice will appear. After a short delay, these will turn into large ice spikes. |
It is very easy to avoid. You can dodge spikes to make them disappear or stick to the outside of the area; Essentially hugging the walls we didn't do any damage from this. |
Summon the fog |
Geonor will cause a mist to appear around the area and summon small wolves. The center of the field will be clear, but you can still walk through the fog (it won't take damage). Geonor will recite poetry and periodically dash across the arena when the fog is present. |
This part can be difficult due to limited visibility. Geonor is reciting poetry here; When he reaches the end of the line, he will dash. As such, try to dodge-roll right when he finishes a line. We recommend moving to the edge of the area (into the fog). Geonor can be hard to ignore if you're right in the center, as you won't have much reaction time when he comes out of the fog. During this section, it is important to keep moving. Run in circles around the arena dealing damage. Thankfully, the wolf summons will disappear with the fog. |
icy breath |
Geonor will shoot (or breathe) icy projectiles from himself at the cone. |
This can easily be avoided; Geonor will stay in one place, so just dodge and attack from behind. |
Ice Rays |
Geonor will summon beams of ice from the sky that cover the field. Beams will be called multiple times in a row, changing position each time. |
At this point, you'll want to take a break from attacking and focus on dodging the beams. Individually, they don't deal the most damage, but it's easy to get caught in multiples. |
Bloody beams |
When at low health (around 25%), Geonor will replace the ice beam with red blood. These beams work exactly the same, but they do more damage. |
The same technique applies here, but it can kill you faster because they do more damage. Overall, try to dodge as much as possible and move around constantly. |
During this part of the fight, Geonor will still use his AoE slam as well as a variety of melee sword attacks seen earlier.
Tips for defeating Geonor
If you're reading this, you've probably died to Geonor a few times, and that's okay. We died for him…a lot. Thankfully, there are some tips to keep in mind to help with this battle.
Increase your level and DPS
First, even though Geonor is a level 15 boss, he seems more difficult. If you are level 15 or lower, Consider taking some time to level up elsewhere. This will provide passive skill points that you can use Increase your DPS. Overall, Geonor has more HP, so If you have high DPS, you may have an easier time taking him down.
Increase cold resistance
Geonor deals a lot of cold attacks, so we recommend it Getting gear with cold resistance. This is also included Charms that increase your cold resistance. You can use materials to add modifications, but this may not guarantee cold resistance.
If you are willing to trade, you can too Trade with others to get stronger gear with cold resistance. However overall, this type of resistance is necessary.
Consider playing with others
There is no shame in seeking help from others. With one other person in your party, the fight can be a little easier. We also fought Geonor against another player, and felt that This is significantly different because he doesn't focus 100 percent of his attacks on you. This gives you a chance to breathe and deal some damage.
Learn from death
Death is natural in this battle. Instead of charging back to defeat Geonor with the same strategy, Use your first (and any subsequent) death as a learning opportunity. As with every boss in Path of Exile 2, The main tip is to simply learn their mechanics.
Reward for completing Ogham's Mad Wolf
After defeating Geonor, he will drop a variety of loot that you pick up. From here, you can Return to Clearfell Camp and talk to the Hooded One to complete Ogham's Mad Wolf.
From here, you can move on to Act Two. If you're wondering how to get there, just do it Talk to the Hooded One again. After watching a diagram-like cutscene, you'll be inside The first scene of Act Two.
