Impact on Renewal Walkthrough Council

in GreedFall 2: The Dying WorldWhen you first talk to the captain of the Bridge Alliance Fort, you'll find out that the captain had prepared a gift for the High King that was to be given to him at the Renewal Council. It was hoped that this proposal from the mainland would improve relations between foreigners and locals.

However, in a surprising twist, the gift is stolen, and he has no idea who the culprit is or where the gift might be. The captain will ask for your help to retrieve the gift and bring your people back, triggering an effect on the renewal quest council.

Talk to the Captain of the Fort in the Captain's Quarters at the Bridge Alliance Fort. You'll naturally gain access to this area during the main missions, “A New Evil” and “A Dying Forest”.

Investigate gift theft

Talk to the guard outside the storeroom near the captain's quarters to ask about the night of the robbery. He says he remembers very little of what happened that night, but if you pass the Diplomacy check, he'll tell you that he was threatened and bribed to look the other way by three large, masked men.

Go inside the storeroom and activate tracking to see the following clues.

• a tool: Near the chest in the middle of the room will be a metal tool used in looting. Given its shape, it was used to force or twist something to enter.
• a chest: The closed door was opened by turning it with a tool behind, where the high king's gift was placed. The chest will show signs of being broken by something like a sledgehammer with only one edge.

Inform the captain of your quest, and he will ask to meet you Fort Intendant. Fort Intendant Bridge can be found north of the Alliance's Fort fast travel point. Show him the tool, and he'll tell you that it's a bolt cutter that was borrowed by the woodsman north of the sawmill.

Retrieve the High King's Gift

The High King's gift was stolen by the savages which can be found in a large clearing north of the fort (location shown above). They have hidden the king's gift inside a locked chest hidden inside a pillbox.

To find it, enter Sawmill and use tracking to find it A hidden switch in the bookcase. Once activated, you'll find a locked chest in a hidden room behind a bookcase. To open it, you need Key to the Sawmill's Safe main item.

There are several ways you can go about this:

• Attack the Woodsmen: If you attack and kill the savages by accusing them of theft, they will drop the key to the sawmill's safe upon death.
• Persuade the captain: If you can pass the Diplomacy check while talking to the fort captain that the Woodsmen are behind the theft, he will actively help you attack and kill the Woodsmen, and you will also be able to get the key to the sawmill's safe.
• Mysterious Idol Exchange: In the northern part of the Autumn Forest is a dead body with a mysterious statue. If you bring this item to the Chief Woodsman, he will agree to exchange the key to the sawmill's safe for it. This is also one of two ways you can complete the Mysterious Statue area quest.
• Steal the High King's gift: If you can pass the Mechanics check and unlock the sawmill's chest without a key, you will be able to loot the High King's Gift directly.

Bring the captain's gift to Minan

After retrieving the gift from the sawmill's chest, proceed to inform the captain of the truth behind the theft and you return the item in question. He will be relieved and direct you to give gifts MinanHead of your village, to complete the transfer.

Fast travel to Vigeshwar and gift Minan at her house to complete the effect on the Renewal Search Council, and you'll receive. +700 experience, Bridge Alliance Prestige +1and Thelem Prestige -1.
