Kakashi is a very powerful character Naruto series, and is also one of the important ones when it comes to advancing the plot. Over the years, fans have come to love Kakashi not only for his role, but also for the incredible strength he repeatedly displays. Naruto. Kakashi has always been known as a genius, and the vast majority of his power, at least to Naruto, came through his Sharingan. Kakashi has always been extremely reliant on dojutsu, and it would definitely be fun for fans to see him with a stronger power like the Rinnegan.

In fact, some fans even wonder where Kakashi himself could have gone to acquire the Rinnegan, although it never came to be but it would still be a very exciting idea.

Kakashi's Mangekyo Sharingan powers

Kakashi received the Mangekyo Sharingan at a young age

Kakashi gained the power of the Sharingan during the Third Great Ninja War. Specifically, this happened after Obito Uchiha was crushed by the shinobi of the Hidden Rock Village. The rest of his Sharingan was given to Kakashi, who lost his own eye some time ago. Rin had a medical implant, and from that day on, Kakashi of the Sharingan became known as a legend. Over the years, Kakashi grew in power, and it was in the same battle that he actually managed to acquire the sought-after Sharingan.

Kakashi's Mangekyo Sharingan gave him great power. He gained Kamui's abilities, especially its long-range version. Using this power, he can warp anything he lays his eyes on and send them to a separate dimension. His control over this technique was initially weak, but as the story continued, it improved drastically and Kakashi became incredibly strong.

During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Kakashi could instantly transport things to a different dimension, and could do so to something as large as the head of a Gedo statue. At the same time, Kakashi could use Kamui multiple times a day, essentially making it seem like the author had removed the limit on the jutsu. Unfortunately, Kakashi lost the Mangekyo Sharingan during the Fourth Great Ninja War. This is when Madara took this eye from him, and eventually, it was returned to Obito Uchiha. With that, Kakashi's story of the Shringon ended, and fans knew that he had no hope of further growth in terms of dojutsu. That said, Kakashi still had the opportunity to acquire the Rinnegan at some point down the line, though the idea was quickly dismissed by the writer.

How could Kakashi obtain the Rinnegan

Sasuke wanted his Rinnegan to go to Kakashi

After losing his Mangekyo Sharingan, Kakashi temporarily gained great power. This came through Obito Uchiha, who gave him his remaining six Path Chakras, and access to both Sharingan, giving him the ability to fight against the likes of Kaguya. At this point in the story, Kakashi was incredibly powerful and fans couldn't quite believe that he performed against Kaguya. Unfortunately, this power-up was temporary. After some time, Kakashi lost access to this power and with it his near invincibility.

Kakashi may have later lost access to all Sharingan jutsu, but he certainly had the opportunity to acquire the Rinnegan. He said, this opportunity Naruto crushed. When Sasuke and Naruto fought, the latter actually presented Kakashi with the opportunity to obtain the Rinnegan. To be more specific, Sasuke knew that the weight of what he had done was monstrous and because of that, he didn't want to live. His idea was to give Kakashi the Rinnegan and seal with Naruto to end the Eternal Tsukuyomi.

Technically, it worked. Kakashi could receive different dojutsu, and at the same time, he could easily complete the seal with Naruto. Of course, the burden of carrying the Rinnegan is much greater than the burden of carrying the Mangekyo Sharingan, but if Obito could manage it, so could Kakashi.

Unfortunately for Kakashi, this idea was squashed by Naruto, when he refused to leave his best friend. Naruto was adamant that he wanted to save Sasuke throughout the series. But, if what Sasuke wanted was allowed to happen, he would die and the Rinnegan would go to Kakashi, making him even stronger than before.

Will Kakashi ever gain any dojutsu?

As fans know, Kakashi is now without dojutsu. After the end of the war, Kakashi assumed an even more important position as the sixth Hokage of the village. However, this does not mean that he was not strong. In fact, if anything, it is highly implied in the story that Kakashi managed to gain more strength after the war, and became even stronger after he lost the Sharingan. Kakashi trained his mind and body in incomprehensible ways and gained even stronger jutsu. During the Boruto era, Kakashi may be old, but he is still a very powerful fighter who can push enemies on their back legs to the level of Kashin Koji.

As far as Kakashi getting dojutsu in the future, the idea is exciting, but it will probably never happen. Because there is a possibility that Kakashi won't get the main role BorutoBecause the writers don't seem excited about this character. If Boruto If handled well, the series could have incorporated many fighting figures from past eras into the story in an exciting fashion and then given fans even more exciting abilities from those characters.
