As support for the PS4 has dropped, many users have jumped to the PS5 to continue playing their favorite titles via backwards compatibility, as well as exclusive games. While Sony's competitor, Microsoft, offers a cross-buy option for PC and console games through the Xbox Play Anywhere program, a leaked “cross-buy” icon may indicate that Sony may consider a similar offer. Other icons in the leak include green and gray icons with a charging indicator in the center, as well as some unused icons for games that support cloud save backups and DualSense touchpad controls. The leaked icons are notably absent on PS4, but are available to view on PS5.

In response to other users' questions about the legitimacy of the leaked icons, Amethxst shared a video as proof that the icons do exist. With the PS5 holding strong with over 80 million units sold, support for the console will likely continue for years to come. It remains to be seen if any of the leaked PS5 icons will bear any fruit.
