LiberNovo will launch the Maxis series of chairs for larger and taller frames

After a surprisingly successful Kickstarter campaign, LiberNovo Launched its Omni series of office chairs to great acclaim. Omni won Red Dot's Product Design 2026 Award, iF Design Award 2026 and is GREENGUARD Gold Certified. Now, the company that many compared to “Herman Miller at half the price” has stepped deeper into the field with LiberNovo Maxis.

Designed with larger and taller users in mind, the Maxis has a comfortable 52cm ultra-wide seat specially tailored for broad shoulders and heavy backs, and provides ample support for people from 5'10″ to 6'7″. As a broad and tall fellow, I can sadly report that some office chair manufacturers claim to serve my frame well, only to prove themselves to be little more than the above-average models. Armrests remain short, headrests lack size-appropriate motion range and more.

LiberNovo's Maxis aims to support taller and wider users

LiberNovo's Maxis series aims to solve these common problems while maintaining the company's relatively competitive price points. The flared base is designed to release hip pressure, and the wide armrest curve is enough to prevent awkward angles that put extra pressure on one's midsection. The U-shaped headrest provides a strong range.

The toggleable five-position back frame capably supports up to a 430 mm wingspan and an even more impressive 520 mm waist width. LiberNovo is also calling its seat design “ultra-deep,” and judging from what I've seen, I'd say that's a fair (and comfortable) assessment. Suffice it to say, LiberNovo Maxis was built with a holistic vision of how to be the most comfortable chair on the market for people with larger frames. The goal here is nothing less than full coverage, with each piece coming together to promote circulation and maintain comfort all day at the desk.

The legs won't be left dangling awkwardly, as has been the case with some office chairs in my experience; The Maxis series provides an appropriate degree of thigh support to prevent awkward angles. Some of these things can easily start as minor inconveniences when we buy new chairs, only to realize over time that the inconvenience is a bigger problem than we thought. It's best to get something with exceptional out-of-the-box comfort, so that we never reach that pivot point where we're compromising quality.

Speaking of which, a six-stage support system powers the Maxis' recline mechanism, allowing for exceptionally smooth adjustment of the chair's recline range. No bumpy little rides on your seat when finding the right angle for the day. And an aluminum alloy base forms the structure for all, providing a premium-quality look and feel to every part. Electric lumbar support and a motorized massage mode have it all covered in spades.

The Maxis series offers variety at great prices

There are three versions of the LiberNovo Maxis to look out for: Manual, Electric, and Airflow. All three look sterling, to be sure; But the manual lacks the motorized spinal massage function seen in others, while airflow only goes the extra mile with a seat ventilation fan. Otherwise, they're almost identical (although the electric model is offered in graphite, versus the Glacier options for graphite or others).

And Maxis isn't the only new gaming chair arriving next month. In fact, LiberNovo is also returning to its famous Omni line with two new models: Omni Pro and Omni SE. With this pair of additions to the flagship Omni line, LiberNovo is moving forward with a five-position reclining backrest, increased range of adjustability, a stronger overall design, better height range, wider tilt range, and more. The Omni Pro is a real bells-and-whistles upgrade, with features like Maxis Airflow's ventilation system in particular, as well as a die-cast aluminum base and really cool Gabriel Atlantic fabric.

The LiberNovo Maxis Series will launch in June 2026. From May 12 until the June 16 release date, the company is taking pre-orders — and a $10 deposit will get you an extended warranty and a $30 discount. Additional “early bird” offers may apply, which can significantly reduce the price of your new Maxis, so grab yourself the perfect gaming chair before the deal expires!
