Donaldson's troubles began earlier this year when it was claimed that longtime Mr. Beast employee Ava Tyson had groomed a young fan, who began investigating the company. Things have only gotten worse from there, as Donaldson has been accused of crypto trading, his company was reported to the FBI, and his latest venture with KSI and Logan Paul came under fire for lunch.

Amid the many controversies that have reared their heads in the past year, Donaldson has remained surprisingly quiet about it, despite keeping his YouTube channel active throughout it all. He explained this in a recent Twitter post, saying he had been asked to refrain from making public statements while his company was under a three-month investigation.
Now that that investigation is over (and he's reportedly been acquitted of the claims made against him), it looks like MrBeast has been able to say what he wants. As discovered by FutureDr_ on the YouTubeDrama subreddit, this has been surprisingly proven since Donaldson randomly commented on YouTuber Soggy Cereal's video about her.
The hour-long video, titled The Real Truth About MrBeast, goes into many of the allegations leveled against MrBeast and claims that many of them are misinformation or have been spread incorrectly thanks to DogPack404. Mr. Beast himself seems to have seen the video, as he left a comment thanking the soggy serial for not spreading “baseless slander” about him.

It's not too surprising to see MrBeast support a video supporting him, but it is surprising to see him comment on the situation after being silent for so long. Members of the YouTubeDrama subreddit called this a strange move, and suggested that Soggy Serial might be working with Donaldson's team.
