This is based on the idea that Shanks' name could possibly be derived from a weapon or a sharp instrument used to inflict damage. It can also be considered part of a larger weapon such as a spear. Likewise, fans may conclude that Shanks' brother has the same name. If Shanks was named after a weapon, it is possible that his brother was as well.

Although not as common, Saber is also a name, and as fans know, Saber has also been driven by Garling Figurland, Shanks, and his twin brother. Perhaps, Oda will take this theme a step further in the Elbaf arc and reveal to fans that Shanks' brother's name is actually Saber.
