PS5 is getting the 9/10 hit open-world survival-crafting game on August 11.

Open-world survival crafting games are everywhere, but one of the genre's best is coming. PS5 On August 11. Sure, the PS5 already has some of the best open-world survival crafting games on the market, but its upcoming addition is highly anticipated because it's one of the best.

Previously, this open-world survival crafting game was a console exclusive for the Xbox, as well as available on Steam, but its addition to the PS5 allows it to hit a much larger audience. The good news is that this won't just be a straight port, either, with players getting one of the game's biggest content drops.

2 hit PS5 grounded on August 11th

Grounded 2 The expansion continues through Early Access, but PS5 players are waiting. Earlier this summer, developer Obsidian Entertainment confirmed that the sequel to the survival game will officially jump to PlayStation 5 on August 11. Like the original Grounded, grounded 2 Development is built around community feedback throughout. Obsidian has repeatedly emphasized that player feedback will continue to shape the game during Early Access, with new features, balance changes, and major content additions coming over time. That philosophy continues with the next update, which dramatically expands the Brookhollow Park map and gives returning players a whole new area to explore as well.

Find the odd one out before the timer hits zero.

Grounded 2’s PS5 release is also paired with its Into the Abyss update, which opens up Brookhollow Park’s sprawling pool and introduces one of the game’s largest areas. Players will be able to explore locations such as mountains, bayous, and underwater depths while unlocking new progression paths, equipment, and hazards. The expansion also overhauls underwater exploration. Diving suits allow players to stay submerged longer and reach previously inaccessible areas, while creatures like koi fish and diving bell spiders make their comeback with new threats lurking beneath the surface.

Obsidian says Pool builds on everything the team learned from the original GroundedUnderwater gameplay. Another major addition is the Tow-Bitter, its new amphibious buggy Grounded 2 which can travel seamlessly on both land and water. This opens up faster exploration around the pond area, makes it easier to get to hidden areas, and gives players another way to escape the many oversized creatures that roam Brookhollow Park (which is always easier said than done).

Make your perfect top ten manifest one at a time.

over on steam, Grounded 2 87% earned Very positive The reception, which feels a bit underrated, has players praising it as exactly the kind of sequel they want from Obsidian. While most everything about the game has been praised content-wise, some fans point towards the technical issues and missing content as the game's only real weak element. Overall, August 11 is shaping up to be one Grounded 2The biggest milestone ever. PlayStation 5 players will finally jump into the game, while existing players get plenty of new territory to explore as Obsidian continues to expand the game. Grounded 2Early access roadmap.
