Single leveling It started its journey as a novel by Chugong, but eventually, thanks to Reduce Studio, it turned into a manhwa in 2018. The manhwa simply elevated the action from the novel to another level, and as a result, it became the best-selling manhwa series of all time, maintaining its popularity to the end. The ending of the solo leveling novel and manwa is particularly interesting as it ends unexpectedly. When Jinwu advances and defeats his strongest enemy, Antares, at the end of the story, he is unsatisfied with what he has achieved due to the many deaths along the way that he cannot stop. To that end, in Solo Leveling Manhwa Chapter 177, Jinwoo asks the rulers to do him a favor and use the Cup of Reincarnation to rewind time once more and give him a chance to right the wrongs he's done.
As such, Jinwoo is returned to a teenage body. While she keeps her memories, not everyone does. All of his closest friends and allies, including his family and Cha Hae-in, forget what he really was. Cha doesn't particularly recognize Jinwoo from the get-go in the new timeline of solo leveling. Consequently, the two of them must meet again and build their love from scratch.
This new romance between Sung Jinwoo and the new timeline Cha Hae-i is definitely something many fans want to explore more in the novel and manhwa. After all, it's a romance that eventually blossoms and culminates in marriage between the two, plus they have a son named Sung Suho.
Fortunately for fans, Solo Leveling is releasing short stories in the form of a series known as “Moments in Between.” Moments in Between first started with Episode 1 on June 24, 2026 and recently, Moments in Between Episode 2 was released on July 8. In it, we finally see Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-in sharing a moment after a time rewind. Cha's main trait with Jinwoo has always been his ability to smell scents, and this was brought back in the one-page story.
Although Cha still doesn't know about Jinwoo, she smells a scent she thinks is familiar. This is the moment he briefly remembers his past timeline. As we've seen with other characters, it's possible for them to get some of their memories back. This means that even though Cha Hae-in doesn't know Jinwoo in this timeline, her feelings are already there, even if she isn't fully aware of them yet.

Jinwoo and Cha Hae-in's romance cements itself as one of the most iconic in single leveling
When it comes to romance Single levelingThere's not much going on. After all, Sung Jinwoo's story was never meant to focus on romance, and the main appeal of solo leveling was always its action and its heated battles. Sung Jinwoo's demeanor is generally cool and collected, and because of this, romance doesn't always find its place in the story. However, she still had a blossoming romance with Cha Hae-in, and arguably, this romance is the most developed and well-explored in the entire story.
Jinwoo and Cha first meet in Solo Leveling Manhwa Chapter 65. She meets him during an A-class dungeon raid and his scent immediately catches her attention. From there, they enjoyed a slow-burn romance that we sneaked into every once in a while. Their romance would only become official in the Manhwa's single leveling chapters 190 and 191, when it was revealed that the two eventually married and had a child. Its origin, however, was glossed over, but their relationship will be further explored in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, where we can follow the story of their only son, Sung Suho.
Cha Hae-In gets more moments in Ragnarok, making it a very exciting sequel, although Chugong has said that the story itself is not a continuation of her timeline in solo leveling. Ragnarok is in its own timeline, which is separate and created by another author, but fantastic nonetheless.
Solo Leveling Karma is setting new romantic scenes between Jinwoo and Cha Hae In
Solo Leveling Karma is a new game by Netmarble Studio, and it is planned to be released in late 2026 on PC and mobile. Because of this game we're getting the short manhwa series “Moments in Between” as an advertisement for an upcoming thriller featuring the original writer Chugong.
The Solo Leveling Karma The game takes place during the 27-Year Monarch War, where Jinwoo has been in seclusion for 27 years and hopes to achieve the ultimate goal of defeating all the monarchs without shedding any human blood. Because of that, we're unlikely to see the other characters until the end of the story, where Jinwoo escapes from the dimensional rift and is able to return to the normal world. Despite that, we still get some moments between Jinwoo and Cha.
It has already been confirmed that solo leveling Karma will spawn corrupted versions of Jinwoo's closest friends and allies. These corrupted versions are created by Antares, and we are sure to see Cha Hae-In's version. This means Sung Jinwoo will have to fight Cha and potentially kill him. It will be a tough fight for Jinwoo, but it can bring us a new moment between the two and let Jinwoo explore more about his feelings.
Anyway, we are excited for the release of the game and waiting for the exact release date to be unveiled soon. For now, we can continue reading Solo Leveling: Moments in Between, as the short manhwa releases a new episode every couple of days. Hopefully, we'll see more Cha and Jinwoo-centric content moving forward.
