As expected, the movie has already generated huge hype. While Solo Leveling: Beyond the System is exciting, we can't forget Solo Leveling's upcoming 2026 video game by Netmarble, Solo Leveling: Karma. Following its reveal at Anime Expo on the game's own stage, we have new information about its plotline. It has been officially confirmed that the main enemy to face is Antares.
For a while in solo leveling Karma, Antares would be the most powerful figure, even among emperors and Jinwu. Antares will only be surpassed at the end of the story when Jinwu regains the height of his power before time rewinds. This new release makes Antares more powerful than ever.
Solo leveling Karma is buffing Antares and making him Jinwoo's biggest challenge
On July 5, 2026, we finally got an update to the highly anticipated solo leveling Karma game being developed by Netmarble Studios, which was previously announced in November 2025. Not only did we get new visuals and teasers for the gameplay, but we were also treated to a brand new Q&A along with other supplemental content.
For one, we knew for a while after the game's initial release that it would cover the long-awaited 27-year Monarch War, which was only glossed over in the novel and manhwa and left unexplored. With the arc being the main focus, we knew that the main enemy would again be Antares, the oldest and strongest king. Now, thanks to Anime Expo 2026, we have a closer look at Antares.
For one, we now know he'll be voiced in English by Troy Baker, and we've even gotten a few sneak peeks of his dialogue and in-game appearance. But what worries us more is his power. It goes without saying Solo Leveling Karma The story will show Antares as the strongest person for good. As fans who have read the manhwa, this is because the 27-year war kick-started when Sung Jinwoo decides to rewind time with the Cup of Rebirth, which he requested the rulers to once again defeat the kings, but without any bloodshed on his part. With this time rewind, he embarks on a terrifying solo adventure to prevent Goo Gunhee and the others from dying in the process. Because time was rewinded, Jinwoo reverts to his teenage years before gaining the system's powers. He eventually gets it back, but his level goes back to 0, and he has to start over again.
In this sense, Antares is easily stronger than Sung Jinwu Single Level: Karma. Antares also has some incredible dragon-related powers, which we saw in the original timeline when he took on Jinwoo in the final battle of the series. Furthermore, in the game, he also has knowledge of what happened in the previous timeline, giving him even more power with preparation time and awareness of what Jinwoo is planning. Jinwu will surpass Antares at the end of Solo Leveling Karma
In the air Single levelingChapter 178 in particular, we see Jinwoo as a teenager in South Korea before it all started. While he retains his memory, he is clearly not at his peak power. Jinwu is able to retain some of his shadows even after rewinding time, although he loses two specific shadows, Greed and Iron, due to their human selves being alive due to conflicting with the current timeline. In this timeline, Jinwoo never becomes a hunter and instead must grow by traveling through dimensional cracks to take on Monarchs and other enemies.
This storyline sees Jinwoo level up from scratch, and eventually, he becomes stronger than ever. That said, by the end of the story, he will not be equal to Antares. It's pretty obvious, because if Jinwoo had been at his peak from the get-go, the Kings wouldn't have stood a chance against him, and the whole ordeal wouldn't have taken him 27 grueling years. This time Rewind comes with a great sacrifice from Jinwoo for all of humanity using the Cup of Rebirth.
In the newly revealed clips of Solo Leveling Karma, we actually see Jinwoo face off with Antares early on. Although we don't know the outcome of this fight, Antares may have had a hand due to Jinwu's weakness.
Solo leveling Karma reveals other enemies for Jinwu to face
Among the enemies Jinwu faced during the 27-Year King War, Antares is easily the strongest of the group. However, there are many others that Jinwoo must face before reaching him. The battles along the way will help him level up and prepare him to face his ultimate nemesis. For one, as the name of the arc implies, Jinwoo must fight all the other kings before reaching Antares. His goal is to kill each of them; Sadly, at this time, we don't know who he will first come into contact with.
In the timeline, we only know through the novel and the manhwa, that Jinwu fights Yogumunt, a powerful king, right before Antares, the Emperor of Transformation. For more details, we'll have to wait for the release of Solo Leveling: Karma. Through the Anime Expo 2026 stage on July 5, 2026, we also find out that Antares uses corrupted versions of Jinwoo's closest allies to fight against him. In the teaser, we saw Jinwoo fighting and killing the corrupt Jinho. We also have a name for a new enemy coming, called Nemir. Currently, we don't know much about him or what his story will be, but we're definitely excited to discover all of these new antagonists.

Single leveling Karma is planned to be released on PC, iOS and Android. As far as the release date goes, we only know that the game is coming in the second half of 2026. Despite its stage at Anime Expo 2026, we still don't have an exact release date. All the fans can wait for is new information about this exciting new video game release that is sure to surpass its predecessors, Solo Leveling: Arise and Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive.
