Along with many canon fights and storylines where warriors unlock powerful transformations to defeat their opponents, some non-canon storylines have also allowed viewers to see some fun transformations that are pretty awesome in their own right.

8 Pseudo Super Saiyan

Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug It's a great movie that takes place at an odd time in the canon. Technically, the Z Warriors should be on Namek, but they're conveniently on Earth when the titular Namekian comes to take over the planet.

He uses the Dragon Balls to regain his youth and becomes a powerful fighter against which Goku struggles a bit, but Namakian is too flexible and starts talking about the cruel way he will destroy the Earth and its inhabitants. Goku is enraged as he transforms into a pseudo-Super Saiyan, making the most of this temporary power-up to never forget Lord Slug before he returns to his base form.

7 A fourth transformation of the cooler

Frieza's brother reveals a never-before-seen transformation

• Debut: Dragon Ball Z: Cooler's Revenge

After Goku defeats Frieza, the Tyrant's brother decides to take on the Saiyan who disgraced his family. What follows is a one-sided beatdown, especially when Cooler reveals a unique transformation that even Frieza didn't have access to.

However, this amazing power doesn't stop him from being defeated by Super Saiyan Goku, who uses his rage to beat Cooler into a cloak before sending him into the sun, causing irreversible damage to his body.

6 Super Android 13

This experimental android absorbs parts of his brothers to become stronger than ever

When three unknown androids appear to destroy the Earth, the Z Warriors must take the battle to the wilderness and engage in battle with these warriors. While Android 14 and 15 were relatively easy to defeat, the same cannot be said for the movie's title villain who was no joke.

After absorbing the components of his fallen brethren, Android 13 undergoes a transformation that makes him even more fearsome in battle. It is not until Goku assumes the power of the Spirit Bomb in his Super Saiyan state that he unleashes a punch that causes Super Android 13 to explode.

5 Legendary Super Saiyan (Non-Canon Version)

Broly's powers were unheard of in his first movie appearance

Before massaging Broly's character out Dragon Ball Super movie, he was nothing more than a one-dimensional character whose motivations were laughable at best. However, this took nothing away from the immense power he wielded as a legendary Super Saiyan.

So, it was equally disappointing to see this powerful Saiyan taken down courtesy of a single punch from Goku after gaining the power of everyone who fought this enemy. Thankfully, the canon version of the legendary Super Saiyan Broly did not suffer from this poor writing and had to be overpowered by Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta before his defeat was assured.

4 Super Genemba

Evil incarnate becomes even more sinister

Fusion Reborn is not only a great movie that lets players see Gogeta's appearance for the first time, but it also introduces a malevolent antagonist who embodies evil. Genemba's original iteration as an infant kaiju isn't terrible, but things take a turn for the worse when he transforms into Super Genemba.

This powerful fighter is no joke and was powerful enough to take out Goku and Vegeta with little effort. It wasn't until the fighters fused that Genemba was finally defeated and balance was once again brought to the afterlife.

3 Golden Cooler

Cooler makes an impressive comeback in Super Dragon Ball Heroes

• Debut: Goku goes berserk! Evil Saiyan's move! (Episode 2 Super Dragon Ball Heroes)

Super Dragon Ball Heroes Could technically be a glorified ad for the arcade game that's all the rage in Japan, but that shouldn't take anything away from the spectacle of these episodes. The fact that Cooler is brought back and reveals a new transformation in the second episode makes it clear that fans should close their minds for this experience.

Seeing Cooler's final form in gold makes for a great scene as he briefly teams up with his brother. This is one of the many non-canon adaptations present Super Dragon Ball Heroes.

2 Evil Saiyan

Comber is no joke, revealing a brand-new form that looks terrifying

Super Dragon Ball Heroes introduces new adversaries who can reach massive levels of power at any time, and Comber is no exception. His background as a Saiyan with corrupt morals helps him unlock new levels of power with his Evil Saiyan transformation.

This impressive opponent's red color makes him look deadly as he smashes the Z Warriors into oblivion. It's not until Goku unlocks Ultra Instinct once again that he finally puts this threat to rest with his impressive power.

1 Super Saiyan rose full power

The crimson-masked Saiyan shows the full extent of Super Saiyan Rose's power

• Debut: The final battle in the pseudo-universe! A clash of blue and crimson (of episode 38 Super Dragon Ball Heroes)

Crimson is a deadly opponent, serving as the reincarnation of Goku Black who is stronger than ever. This can be seen in his Super Saiyan Rose transformations which look very impressive.

This includes Super Saiyan Rose Full Power, where the Saiyan's tail grows back as his hair retains the shape of Super Saiyan 3. It's a beautiful design, and fans can't help but wonder if this form will ever become canon later. Dragon Ball Stories.
