Greed 2 It has the subtitle Dying World because it is not a traditional sequel, but a prequel to the original Greed. You don't have to play the original to play this because it's completely prequel. In it, you become a native of Teer Fradee who is kidnapped and taken to an ancient continent where, along with a handful of friends, players must fight their way home (among other, more spoilery details). Overall, for fans curious about the Old Continent, it provides great insight into what fans of the world heard so much about in the first. The first game was hailed as a reminder of BioWare's golden years, but the sequel failed to live up to those expectations as far as critical success.

Greed 2 Reviews on MetaCritic give it a metascore of 63, indicating mixed or average reviews, and Steam reviews place it at 62% positive, placing it in the mixed category. In broad strokes, it's more of an old-school hardcore CPRG than an action RPG, and while it has great lore, a great setting, and clear RPG ambitions, its combat, gameplay, and general performance suffered severely. That said, the free is free and will continue to be discounted for this month. If it appeals to you, it's hard to pass up picking it up at a discount.

while the surroundings are around Greed 2's release is incredibly unfortunate, and while there isn't an active studio replacement, it's a solid way to pay tribute to Spiders to play the last game.
