Wuchang: The Fallen Feathers development team may have disbanded
Despite the game's well-reviewed and reportedly “successful” launch, Wuchang: Fallen Feather' The development team may have recently disbanded, less than a year after the game's release. A few days ago, a GamerSky report (then picked up by SavePoint Gaming) claimed that the main team behind Wuchang Leenzee Games was disbanded after an internal dispute over leadership changes.
According to these reports, Wuchang Director Xia Siyuan was let go in February just before the Lunar New Year. Some reports claimed that he left to build a new studio. Due to his absence, Leenzee Games higher-ups reportedly offered the remaining members. Wuchang Opportunity to help the development team on another project within the studio or help with outsourced projects. These reports then claim that the rest of the developers rejected the offer, resulting in the disbanding of the entire team.
Leenzee Games has yet to comment on any of these reports, nor has Xia Siyuan or any other developers potentially affected by the shake-up. That said, all rumors should always be taken with a generous pinch of salt, and fans won't know what really happened until at least one party makes an official statement.
