8 Best JRPGs That Started as PC Exclusives
While many of these JRPGs have gone on to join the console world, they all got their start — and made their names — as PC exclusives.
Many of these games, however, can be very difficult. Some have brutal boss battles or multiple moving elements at once to keep track of in battle. Some set players from the word go, with no downtime. These JRPGs aren't bad by any means, but sometimes it's easy to take a long time for something with a slightly slower pace. Fortunately, there are some JRPGs that are very relaxing, with moments of downtime that break gameplay or have an entirely slower experience than players are used to.

Fire Symbols: Three Houses A title that knows how to effectively break up a fight. Combat itself can be very mentally taxing. Enemies don't retreat, and each move needs to be carefully planned to maximize each turn to minimize the amount taken and how much damage is done.
Outside of combat, however, Byleth can spend a good amount of time at the Officers Academy acquiring resources, building his own force, or building relationships with other students and faculty on site. This is one of the best parts of the game – taking it slow at the academy.

Rune Factory 5 Its main focus will be the growth of the character's farm, giving the player many opportunities to plow the land and raise their animals to their heart's content. This is a catchy title if a bit of a rehash of the previous entry.

The more open-ended nature of Pokemon Scarlet and Purple lends itself well to a slow-paced style of gameplay (although that open-ended nature is rendered moot because none of the enemies in this game scale).
Sometimes, instead of taking on one of the three central questlines in this game, players want to change their favorite picnic table and wander around the area with their favorite Pokémon, relaxing.
3 Legend of Legacy
A storybook JRPG focused on exploration
- continue (initial): 22 January 2015
- developer: Animal Call, FuRyu
- platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS
This title, in retrospect, was actually a proof of concept for a more fleshed-out Alliance alive A title that challenges players with its difficulty. The legend of inheritance Not a bad game by any means, however, and letting the story take a backseat is rare enough in a non-Pokémon JRPG to warrant discussion in its own right.
This game instead wants to focus on idleness and exploration at your own pace. There's still a focus on combat, yes, but that combat is fun and engaging when it's connected to exploration and not a high-stakes story.

A sprawling, whimsical JRPG—few games have the pure charm that this title does. It's a combination of something like this Vitch spring r With exploration and storybook setting The legend of inheritance.
Fusing these two games but bringing more than a heap of their own merit to the table, this game and its sequel are some of the best and most polished small-scale JRPGs you'll find – especially if they're more laid-back, of late. Video game.
