The wait will be a bit longer for the whole new expansion, currently slated for late January, if Datamine is correct.
Between 30 million of us playing and $12 million spent in its first four days, it's probably fair to say Pokemon TCG Pocket has taken the world by storm in its first week and a half. However, those of you who are a little more jaded than others may be wondering when we'll be getting new sets and expansions, and the mobile game's datamine may have revealed when that will be.
The information about when we might have more than Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo packs to choose from comes via information from a datamine shared by CentroLeaks, the account that distributed many of the details from last month's Game Freak leak. If the pocket datamine is correct, the app will get what it looks like A special booster returns on December 16And then Full new expansion at the end of January.

According to Datamine, the December extension is listed as A1a. Pocket's Genetic Apex set, which is currently the only one available, is dubbed the A1, hence the assumption that the A1a will be an additional booster pack rather than a completely new set. However, A2 is currently labeled as being on the list to roll out at the end of January so this could be the first time we get a completely new set in the game.
Pokemon Pocket will hopefully have a new booster pack by Christmas
And a whole new expansion in the new year
Potentially revealed in the same datamine New card rarity and Addition of Rare Picks to Wonder Picks Which seems to allow you to guarantee cards of a certain rarity when choosing from other players' previously opened packs. While there has been some controversy about this, it currently appears that you cannot choose Immersive or Crown Race cards. There are five rare Fire-type cards to choose from in this blurry image from Datamine.
This is a leak for now and all of the above should be taken with a pinch of salt until it is confirmed that it is all true or it actually happens. If the datamine is correct, which seems likely, there's always a chance the date changes and the proposed features and mechanics are completely scrapped. If people continue to spend a lot of money on Pocket, The Pokemon Company can stop adding new packs and expansions until the spending starts to decrease and the game realizes that it needs it.
