While much of the Nintendo Switch 2 is shrouded in mystery, with no word on when it will arrive this fiscal year, it appears we at least have an idea of what kind of third-party software to expect when the console launches. That group will obviously include Gotham Knights – WB Games Montreal's 2022 Batman-family-centric action RPG.

It's important to note that Gotham Knights was rated for the Nintendo Switch in 2023, though nothing ultimately materialized. This latest development suggests that the game will be on both the original Switch and its successor.
Gotham Knights on the Go
As first spotted by Video Game Chronicle, a YouTuber named Doctre81 discovered an anonymous developer who is listed on his LinkedIn resume as having worked on Gotham Knights for two “undisclosed” platforms.
It's likely that at least one, if not both, of these platforms are Nintendo-related. The game was originally released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox series and PC, leaving the remaining platforms as the last generation hardware with an unannounced Switch successor.
Of course, the game could find its way to PS4 and Xbox One, and no one would bat an eye. That's because both Star Wars Jedi Survivor and Hogwarts Legacy were ported back, despite the former being released exclusively on “next-generation” hardware.
That said, with the ESRB rating for Gotham Knights previously leaked, it's possible that a Switch port is in the works. To that end, Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav shared in 2024 that the company will focus on advancing four gaming franchises, including DC, specifically Batman. In other words, Gotham Knight's port will put those plans even more into focus, though, ultimately, only time will tell.
