Goku's journey across the Snake Way in the anime is so long that fans truly believed that the complicated path was as time-consuming as the show made it seem. The Saiyan meets many strange people during his journey, including the iconic Serpent Princess.
This adorable princess is infatuated with Goku and feeds him a ton of food before asking him to marry her. However, he is in a relationship with Chi-Chi and refuses, angering Princess Snake as she transforms into a giant snake and tries to stop the Saiyan. One Kamehameha would have been enough to defeat the beast, but Goku didn't want to be so harsh after eating so much and decided to tie the snake in a knot before leaving.
