Finally, Granolah uses a killing blow that knocks Goku out of Perfect Ultra Instinct. It's only thanks to Ultra Instinct's defense boost that Goku doesn't die on the spot – and even then, he barely survives.

In a lightning fast attack that Goku and Vegeta can't react to, Black Frieza knocks out the Saiyans with True Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego respectively. Goku and Vegeta have fought Granolah and Gass at this point, but it's painfully clear that they wouldn't stand a chance against Black Frieza, even at full power. Frieza could have killed Goku right then and there, but chose to spare him (and Vegeta) because he was only after Gas. He might not be so kind the next time the Saiyans confront him.
