Microsoft has officially announced Wave 2 Xbox Game Pass Lineup for April 2026. The recently revealed roadmap includes half a dozen titles, five of them day-one releases, plus one more arriving next month that strongly suggests the most likely date for Wave 1 Xbox Game Pass to be formally confirmed is scheduled for May.
The gaming industry's largest subscription content catalog received 18 new games in January, followed by 20 more in February 2026. March then marked 16 more arrivals, while another ten joined the ever-circulating library between April 1 and 17. Monthly expansion will continue. The Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 lineup includes 5 day-one releases for April 2026
Microsoft announced another batch of arrivals a day before the end of its most recent Xbox Game Pass lineup. The company has officially confirmed that the Wave 2 roadmap for April 2026 spans six titles: kiln, Aphelion, Trepang2, Sledding game, Heroes of Might and Magic: The Old Ageand TerraTechLegion. Five of them are ODIs, the only exception Trepang22023 first-person shooter created and published by Canadian developer Trepang Studios worms Creator Team 17.
In typical Wave 2 fashion, the new shared schedule spreads over the next month, although this is not always the case; The lineup ends with the 2021 Pixel Remaster Final Fantasy 5It has now been officially confirmed to join the service on May 5. That will be less than a month after the new version. Final Fantasy 4 (from the same remaster collection) appeared in the Xbox Game Pass library. Likewise, the original trilogy was rolled out to members in phases, introducing a new game each month from early 2026.

considering Final Fantasy 5 Arriving on May 5, Microsoft's Wave 1 reveal for next month may also be planned for that day, at least partly because of the company's long-standing preference for sharing subscription catalog update news on Tuesdays. Still, exceptions, while uncommon, remain possible. Case in point: This new lineup announcement went live on Monday, April 20. The last time Xbox Game Pass revealed a full lineup on a Monday was in November 2024.

As is often the case, the last catalog update of the month is reserved for departures. Nine titles are due to drop from Xbox Game Pass on April 30, including some fan favorites with upcoming removals. Citizen Sleeper, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2and Goat Simulator Remastered. It would be the biggest wave of departures since the end of March 2025 when the service lost 10 games.
