Microsoft's subscription service adds new features on a near-weekly basis, with many available at multiple levels. However, Ultimate members are usually given at least one big batch of special benefits each month, with their incentives usually combining recurring offers like Fortnite Crew and more limited-time deals. After Xbox Game Pass Ultimate unexpectedly received a permanent price cut on April 21, significantly improving its value proposition, Microsoft is now looking to reinforce its renewed appeal with a new batch of subscription benefits.

Xbox Game Pass adds new benefits for April 2026
The new offers include 15 more games with claim windows running from April 29 to July 30. Highlights included Division 2The Battleworn Secret Service Pack, Sea of Thieves' Access leather lustrous legend eye, and Call of Duty: Warzoneof Game Pass Pack 6, the last of which is available until July 30. A one-month Discord Nitro offer is also available until April 2, 2027, for members who did not have an active Nitro account in the past year. skate's 30-item Supercharge Pack that was last available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers in late 2025 is also back in rotation.
Meanwhile, the recently downgraded Fortnite Crew Perk now gives Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members 800 V-Bucks per month, down 20% from its previous 1,000 V-Bucks grant. Epic Games rolled out the change on March 19 as part of a wider rollout Fortnite A rebalancing of the economy made by the developer as an alternative to direct price increases. In addition to V-Bucks, the April 2026 Fortnite Crew sub comes with Fae Fishtail Bling, Darksea Trident Pickaxe, and Sakara Outfit.

While the Discord Nitro offering included in the latest perk batch is far from unprecedented, it could soon expand. Specifically, an avid data-miner has discovered references to an unannounced Xbox Game Pass tier called “Starter Edition” within a recent Discord release. The new subscription category will reportedly offer the same content catalog as Xbox Game Pass Essentials, but with a month-long Discord Nitro subscription and 10 hours of Xbox cloud gaming instead of unlimited streaming.
