Viz Media's official X (formerly Twitter) account has confirmed that another art book will be released in 2026. It is written by Hirohiko Araki, and in the manuscript, the author will include instructions on how to create the villain.
At the time of writing, there is no set date, but fans can pick up the book sometime in summer 2026. Araki's new manual will help budding writers create antagonists for their respective works.
Steel Ball Run will release in 2026
As previously stated, the Steel Ball Run anime is currently in production at David Productions. The studio has been responsible for animating all the previous episodes, so fans don't have to worry about the quality of the anime. A handful of teasers have always been shared with viewers, and so far everything seems to be in order.
The Steel Ball Run anime is targeting a 2026 release, with some reports suggesting it will air in March or April of that year. Obviously, anime can be delayed if the employee cannot complete the production within the specified time. If the anime is indeed pushed back, it could be released in Fall 2026.
There are some fans who are worried about the release schedule of Steel Ball Run. Netflix was in charge of the Steel Ball run, and the streaming website resorted to releasing episodes in batches, which killed the momentum for fans. They had to wait months to get the next batch of episodes. Hopefully, Netflix won't make the same mistake again, and will release episodes on a weekly basis, allowing fans to watch the anime every week.
