Although the Mangekyo Sharingan stood out as the most incredibly powerful ability to be introduced in the Naruto series, over the years, its importance and power began to pale in comparison to all the other powers introduced to the world at the time. For example, upon the introduction of the Rinnegan, the Mangekyo Sharingan began to lose its importance, and by the time of the 4th Great Ninja War, it was practically obsolete, with powers like Susanoo becoming practically useless against the likes of the Ten-Tales Jinchuriki or Kaguya Otsutkisu. Sharada's Ohirume, who debuted in it v-jump Issue #5, dated 20 May 2025, has the power to produce and manipulate black holes. With this powerful eye jutsu, Sarada can create four powerful black holes, the size of which she can freely control. At the same time, she can easily control what the black hole targets and who it ignores, giving her complete control over the gravity of the technique. Coming to Gravity itself, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapters 21 and 30 showcased its immense firepower, strong enough to defeat Otsutsuki-level enemies. Why does Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan surpass Sasuke's Rinnegan?
While Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan has immense power, its full potential can only be understood when directly compared to Sasuke's Rinnegan. Although the latter ability is significantly more specialized, Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan actually has the abilities to match it in combat and even outdo it in terms of offensive output.
Sasuke's special ability when it comes to the Rinnegan is the Amenotejikara, which allows him to switch places with anything within a certain range. Sarada's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan has the potential to be Boruto's most powerful dojutsu.
While Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan is extremely powerful, it also has one significant weakness, and that is blindness. Each Mangekyo Sharingan blinds the user over time, but as confirmed by Sakura Haruno Boruto: Two Blue Vortexes Chapter 34, The rate of blindness depends on the nature of the technology and how it is used. Sarada's technique is incredibly powerful when it comes to the Mangekyo Sharingan, and thus, it blinds her much faster than other users. In fact, Sarada has only used her Mangekyo partnership on three separate occasions, yet she has lost a significant portion of her vision, which shows that this power is not sustainable in the grand scheme of things.

The only way Sarada can use her eyes properly is to make her Mangekyo Sharingan eternal. Sarada's direct path to achieving this is not provided in the series. However, over time, one way or another, he is going to gain access to the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. When that happens, Sarada's eye power will increase even more, and she will reach an even higher power, possibly equaling Hidari or Jura and rivaling Momoshiki and Ishiki Otsutsuki. The Mangekyo Sharingan is more powerful than ever in the Boruto series, and we're glad to see that.
