8 Strongest Bleach Characters Who Can Destroy The Susanoo

The Susanoo is the strongest offensive jutsu of Naruto‘s Uchiha Clan, and can only be accessed by someone who has awakened their Mangekyo Sharingan. This colossal samurai-like avatar is made of the user’s chakra, and it has the power to destroy entire mountains with a single attack. The Susanoo is considered an ultimate defense, but there are several characters from Bleach who can destroy it.

There are a few Soul Reapers that can destroy a Susanoo with one attack, and there are some Arrancar and Quincy that can destroy it with their unique abilities. One Quincy in particular can take a Susanoo out using only his mind. All of the Bleach characters that can easily destroy a Susanoo possess Captain-level spiritual energy, and some of their abilities are so overpowered, they can be considered god-tier.

Baraggan Louisenbairn Can Turn A Susanoo To Dust With His Resurreccion

As the Second Espada, Baraggan was among the strongest Arrancar in Aizen’s army. Each Espada represented a different aspect of death, and Baraggan represented death brought about by old age and time. Baraggan can produce a time dilation field around his body to slow a Susanoo’s attack enough to dodge it. If he were to touch any part of the Susanoo’s body, Baraggan can use Senescencia to age that body part until it becomes brittle and unusable.

The Susanoo might be able to withstand Baraggan’s base form, but it would not stand a chance against his Resurreccion. While in this skeletal state, Baraggan’s Senescencia enhances to the point that everything around him rapidly ages until it turns to dust. He can also produce a special miasma that rapidly decays whatever it touches until nothing remains. A Susanoo sword or arrow would fizzle away before it could ever hit Baraggan, and all he would need to do is walk up to the Susanoo and its armored body would turn to dust.

For much of Bleach’s story, Kenpachi Zaraki subconsciously repressed his full power, but that all changed during the events of the Quincy Blood War. With his true strength restored, he is rightfully considered one of the strongest Soul Reaper Captains in history. After killing Captain Unohana, Kenpachi learned to communicate with his Zanpakuto, which finally gave him access to his Shikai and Bankai.

With his Shikai, Kenpachi gains a massive war cleaver that is sharp enough to cut through the fabric of space itself. It would be able to slice a Susanoo in half with a single attack. Kenpachi’s cleaver becomes much smaller when he uses Bankai, and he becomes a mindless berserker, but his cutting power increases to the point that he can cut a god-like being in half. As durable as Susanoo’s armor might be, it would not stand a chance against Kenpachi’s Zanpakuto, no matter what form it takes.

6

Liltotto Lamperd Can Eat A Susanoo With Her Gluttonous Schrift

As a member of the Sternritter, Liltotto possessed spiritual energy equal to that of a Captain, making her one of Bleach‘s strongest female characters. If Liltotto activates her Quincy Vollstandig, she can fire a special projectile that looks like a bear trap, Not only does this projectile travel incredibly fast, it tears through everything in its path, so it should be able to cut straight through a Susanoo’s armor.

Liltotto’s Schrift was called “The Gluttony”, and like its name suggests, it leaves her in a constant state of hunger. It also allows her to shift her mouth into an extendable gaping maw with jagged teeth. As a result, she can eat whatever she wants. If given the opportunity, Liltotto can use her Schrift to devour a Susanoo piece by piece until there is nothing left.

Zommari Rureaux Should Be Able To Force A Susanoo To Destroy Itself With His Resurreccion

Zommari uses his resurrecion against Byakuya's Bankai in Bleach.

Zommari held the rank of Seventh Espada, making him one of the group’s weaker members. That said, he was the fastest of all the Espada, which means he can easily dodge a Susanoo’s melee and ranged attacks with his Sonido. His base form would not be able to destroy a Susanoo in direct combat unless he hits it with a point-blank Cero blast. Even then, his Cero might not be strong enough to destroy the Susanoo’s entire body.

Luckily, Zommari gains a special ability when he releases his Zanpakuto and assumes his Resurreccion. While in this form, Zommari gains up to 50 eyes, and each eye can take control of something by fixing its gaze and placing a sun-shaped tattoo on it. If Zommari places one of these tattoos on a Susanoo’s sword arm, he can force the Susanoo to stab itself. If the tattoo gets placed on the Susanoo’s head, he can make the Susanoo stab or shoot itself multiple times until it completely destroys itself.

Gremmy Thoumeaux Can Erase A Susanoo Using Only His Imagination

At first glance, Gremmy looks like he would be one of series’ weakest villains, but he is actually one of the strongest characters in Bleach. In fact, he arguably wields the most broken ability in all of Shonen anime. Thanks to “The Visionary”, Gremmy has the power to turn fantasy into reality. Basically, whatever he imagines becomes real, no matter how absurd or impossible it may seem.

If Gremmy went up against a Susanoo, he could turn its gigantic sword into a harmless pool noodle with a simple thought. If he goes on the offensive, he can use his imagination to make the Susanoo’s armor as fragile as glass. At that point, he can shoot imaginary missiles at it to destroy it. If he wanted to, Gremmy could simply pop a Complete Body Susanoo like a balloon as soon as it gets summoned.

3

Oetsu Nimaya Can Slice Through A Susanoo With His Sayafushi

As a member of Squad Zero, Oetsu is one of the strongest Soul Reapers of all time. He never revealed his Bankai, but if he were to use it, its sheer power would reverberate throughout reality itself. Oestu is credited with creating the Zanpakuto, and as a result, he is one of the few Soul Reapers who can destroy a Susanoo without needing to use a Shikai or Bankai.

Oetsu forged a special Zanpakuto called Sayafushi, which he considers a failure because its blade is so sharp that no sheath can contain it. The argument can be made that Sayafushi is the sharpest blade in the Bleach universe. Oetsu used Sayafushi to cut down each member of Yhwach’s royal guard with a single attack, and three of these characters are god-tier beings. As strong as the Susanoo’s armor may be, Oetsu can slice through its entire body like butter.

2

Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto Can Delete A Susanoo With His Bankai

Yamamoto activates his Bankai in Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War

Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto founded the Thirteen Court Guard Squads more than 1,000 years ago, and he remained the Head Captain up until his death because he was considered the most powerful Soul Reaper in the Seireitei. He wielded

Ryujin Jakka, the oldest and most powerful fire-type Zanpakuto. This makes Yamamoto one of anime’s strongest fire users. His Shikai produces intense flames that can incinerate almost anything from existence, but it would likely not be enough to take out a Complete Body Susanoo.

Yamamoto’s Bankai, however, has the power to destroy the entire Soul Society if it is left active for too long. All of Ryujin Jakka’s flames get condensed into the edge of its blade. Anything this blade touches is instantly erased from existence. All Yamamoto needs to do is tap a Susanoo on the chest and its entire upper body and head will be deleted.

1

Lille Barro Can Pierce Through A Susanoo’s Armor With His Quincy Schrift

Lille was the leader of Yhwach’s royal guard, making him one of the strongest Quincy in history. He was also the first Quincy to be bestowed a Schrift, and it was so powerful that he developed a justifiable god complex. The X-Axis gave Lille the ability to pierce through any attack while both his eyes are open. This acts as a form of intangibility, which means none of the Susanoo’s attacks would hit him.

The X-Axis also grants Lille’s projectiles the power to pierce through anything in their path, regardless of its durability. Lille’s shots are invisible and reach the target almost instantaneously, meaning a bulky construct like the Susanoo cannot dodge them in time. If Lille wanted to use his second Quincy: Vollstandig transformation, he would become an owl-like angelic creature that can vaporize a city with a single attack. Even Itachi’s Susanoo, which carries the legendary Yata Mirror, cannot block any of Lille’s ranged attacks.
