Arch Raiders fans struggle with throwing snowballs at Rocketeers tryouts

Fighting Arcs in Arc Raiders is already hard enough, especially Rocketeers who can blast you from a distance. No matter what weapon you have, these drones are hard to hit and can take you out with one good hit. Despite this, Embark felt it would be fun to hit players with snowballs for the latest weekly test.

The game's Winter Snap update covered the top with snow, allowing attackers to gleefully toss snowballs at each other. However, the latest weekly challenge tasks you with throwing snowballs at the Rocketeers; Not just one or two, but at least 16 snowballs, depending on when you try the test. It goes without saying that this has proven difficult for many players, but, as always, attackers have found a few tricks to it.

How to throw snowballs at rocketeers in Ark Raiders

If you're having a hard time completing this challenge traditionally, the Arc Raiders community has made some tricks to make it easier. The first, demonstrated by Vipu2 on Reddit, involves a bit of skill and platforming, essentially requiring you to load your inventory with snowballs, then use your snap hook to mount a rocketeer and unload the snowballs onto it.

This method may sound easy, but getting so close to a Rocketeer is not as easy as you think. Using a snap hook to mount may also require a few tries, giving the Arch plenty of time to circle around you and unleash its arsenal. The second method requires a little more work, but is safer and doesn't require much skill. Except, perhaps, a good throwing arm.

Embark Studios is making the extraction shooter genre mainstream with Arc Raiders.

Suggested by nrthlu, this method requires you to load in snowballs on the dam battlefield. They suggested doing so next to the water towers in the lower left part of the map. There's also a hatch nearby, so bring a key for a quick escape. So, head to the haunted town with a handful of showstoppers, and make your way to the top of the hospital.

The next step is to lure the rocketeer by shooting it and then hit it with showstoppers until it falls on the roof. Then it's just a matter of unloading all your snowballs into the rocketeer. If you go outside, there are three piles of snow on the roof of the hospital itself. The hard part will be hitting the drone with the showstoppers, but the rest is a piece of cake.
