From Clive Final Fantasy 16 Arguably, the most powerful JRPG heroes are the easiest to quantify based on in-game displays of power. Clive is known as a Dominant, meaning he can control the power of this game's version of the summons, called Eikon. Clive can use Ifrit's powers in battle and even become a Kaiju-sized version of Ifrit during boss battles for some of the best set pieces within the franchise.
Not only that, but Clive can steal powers from other Dominants throughout the story, such as Earth's power icon, the Titan. Lightning from Final Fantasy 13 Worth an honorable mention among final fantasy leads because she basically becomes a god throughout the trilogy, but because her rise to power doesn't peak until the end of the third game, Clive is the obvious choice.
