With the game featuring five separate Tofu skins, fans were surprised to find unlockable and purchasable costumes in Resident Evil 2 Remake. were not equally funny. That's not to say there aren't questionable outfits; You don't have a character rambling on about something so absurd that it breaks the seriousness of the game.
Some costumes are unlocked by beating the game, and others can only be obtained through DLC or in free updates. Here's a ranking of them all based on how good they look.

Classic 98 Leon

The Classic 98 Claire has the same updates as the Classic 98 Leon and looks just as badass. Her hands look grotesque, and she looks angrier than a modern Claire. It breaks the immersion by seeing a highly realistic zombie bite into Claire, who looks like a slightly more evolved character from Minecraft.
Yes, some may like these dresses for their vintage value, but that is the only reason why anyone likes these dresses. Playing games with them would be more for quirks than liking them.

Classic School Uniform (Sherry)

Equip Claire's classic outfit.
While you can't select it from the outfit menu, Sherry has an alternate look when she has Claire in her classic outfit. Sherry's alt outfit is a very old looking school outfit, similar to the one she donned in the original RE2.
So, she has waist-length shorts, bright red shoes and a bow that makes her look a bit sailor-like. Because it's so old-school, it looks a bit silly in the game and also doesn't match her default outfit.

Tank top
Through the story, when normal outfits are furnished, Claire throws off her jacket and starts walking around in a tank top and jeans. Once you beat the game, you can have it as your outfit for the entire adventure.
It's not a particularly attractive getup. This is a simple form that is less than his default one. After all, the jacket is the best part of the original outfit, so it is completely missed with it.

Since Claire's jacket is the classic version of the outfit, it should come as no surprise that there's also a tank top version.
However, the best part of the classic jacket outfit is the iconic design on the back, which is missing here as there is no jacket. So, you just skipped the basic tank top and little shorts. So, it's not the most exciting look. You need to complete Claire's story in hardcore mode to unlock it.

Noir Claire

The Noir set of costumes comes with an in-game filter that makes everything black and white just like in the old Noir movies. Even with the filter, this outfit is badass. With high heels he'd never kick during a zombie apocalypse, an untucked shirt, a tie long enough to catch zombies, and the silliest looking pair of pants with suspenders, it's not a great outfit.
There may be some die-hard hipsters who like this look, but that's probably more out of rebellion against modern fashion conventions than a legitimate attraction to the outfit. You can get the Noir outfit for Claire by purchasing the additional DLC pack.

Noir Leon

Leon's noir outfit is a bit better than Claire's, as he looks put together in his gray vest and vertical shoulder holster. But he seems very out of place in modern Raccoon City, surrounded by more conventional-looking zombies, police officers and scientists.
Again, the Noir black and white filter helps a little, but it looks like an old movie where they could just put the main character in a costume. Everyone except Mr. X wore whatever was in their closet. He has a noir theme going on. Like Claire's outfit, Leon's noir outfit is obtained through an additional DLC pack.

Accidental Leon
On your first playthrough, you'll notice that Leon is wearing a nice gray jacket and blue jeans before arriving at the police station. After you beat the game as the hero, you can spend the entire adventure in this outfit.
It's not as iconic as his police uniform, but it's not bad. The jacket, in particular, looks very good. The getup isn't as fancy as others in the game, but there are definitely badass outfits either hero can wear.

Alternative Claire
This might be a little controversial, but the alternate Claire's outfit, an homage to Native Evil 2, isn't a great outfit. A leather tank top with a Made in Heaven caption and some awkward red shorts over black shorts make this a vintage outfit for the year this remake came out.
Sure, there's nostalgia for the old game, but there's a reason they updated the default costumes for the remake. You can get this outfit by beating the game as Claire.

policeman (injured)
Leon goes through a lot during the game, so it's no surprise that his police uniform is torn and he has some cuts that need bandaging. This results in a police (wounded) outfit.
In a regular playthrough, when using normal outfits, you will end up in this outfit. However, after you complete a story, you can select it as your default form. It seems a bit odd for Leon to get messed up before he's even engaged any monsters, so it's weird to wear it from the start. That said, it looks really good in the game.
