8BitDo has just officially announced the Ultimate 3 and Ultimate 3E controllers XboxPC, and mobile devices. These officially licensed Xbox controllers are highly customizable and offer pro-level accuracy, and they're slightly cheaper than Xbox's own Elite controllers.
For over a decade now, 8BitDo has been one of the leading voices in the world of video game accessories, controllers, and peripherals. The company has released an assortment of products over the years that have certainly taken inspiration from gaming's most iconic color schemes and technical designs, with 8BitDo even making officially licensed accessories. Xbox, for example, has had a strong relationship with 8BitDo for quite some time, working with the company to make official releases. Forza Horizon-themed charging docks, Rare-inspired controllers, and translucent green mechanical keyboards inspired by Microsoft's first home console.

8BitDo announced the Xbox Ultimate 3 controller series
8BitDo's new Xbox Ultimate 3 controller costs $99.99 and offers many of the features you'd expect from a pro-level controller, such as back buttons, adjustable force rings for the TMR joystick, hall-effect impulse triggers, and more bumpers. The controller is due out on October 31, 2026, and pre-orders are open now through Amazon. When compared directly to Microsoft's own offerings, 8BitDo's Ultimate 3 controller most closely resembles the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Controller, which normally retails for $140.

On the same day, 8BitDo is also releasing the Xbox Ultimate 3E controller, a high-end model that costs $149.99. Amazon pre-orders are also open for this model. Along with all the bells and whistles present on the Ultimate 3, the Ultimate 3E controller comes with a set of customizable magnetic face buttons and options for multiple user profiles, among other special features. As a high-end model, this controller is similar to the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, which normally retails for $200.
