PlayStation has confirmed the first PS Plus The game will be coming to an additional monthly catalog during the Summer Game Fest event in September 2026, which is already shaping up to be a busy month for gamers. Runescape: Dragonwilds— the open-world survival crafting game from Jagex — officially leaves Steam Early Access and enters its full 1.0 release on September 15, at which time it will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. It will also be available as a Day One game in the PS Plus Extras catalog.
It may come as a surprise to hear about a PS Plus game being confirmed at Summer Game Fest, given the state of the game recently, but it seems to be part of Jagex's one-two punch strategy. Runescape: Dragonwilds Appeared on State of Play to confirm its upcoming release on the PS5 console and PS Plus Extra catalog, but it appeared again at the Summer Game Fest showcase to confirm specifications.

Runescape: Dragonwilds Releases on PS5 on September 15, making it the first confirmed PS Plus Extra game for the month. It will join the service alongside other additional games that month and will be available to anyone with a PS Plus Extra or Premium subscription. Now, PlayStation has also confirmed Great hike PS Plus will join as a day game at some point in the future, while Guitar Man, Psy-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracyand Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams will be released as classic games in the PS Plus Premium catalog in June, July and August respectively.

Runescape: Dragonwilds' More effectively in the PS Plus lineup for September 2026 puts it directly in front of customers at an important moment: when it exits Early Access and launches in its 1.0 form. Instead of being a long-delayed catalog addition, it arrives in phase with the game's full release window, which naturally increases its reach to the console audience.
