Overwatch Hero 52 has been officially revealed

Blizzard has officially revealed Overwatch's latest protagonist, Shion, in a new cinematic trailer. Hero 52 Shion is set to join a new damage hero Overwatch Reign of Talon Season 3 starting roster on June 16, 2026. He is a humanoid omnic character affiliated with the Hashimoto Clan and aligned with Talon in his victory against Overwatch.

Shion debuted in the new cinematic trailer “End of the Line” where she assists the Hashimoto clan in preventing Overwatch's Sojourn from obtaining weapons bound for the Talon's leader, Vendetta. While no gameplay has been shared for Shion yet, this trailer suggests that he will have a dual-wield pistol and some sort of mobility skill, given his status as a fast damage hero. The pierced weapon at the end of her trailer could be used for her ultimate, but it's also possible that Motorcycle Shion could be included in her kit throughout the trailer as well.

Shion is not the first Hashimoto clan member Overwatch roster. The Talon-aligned faction added support hero Mizuki as a playable character earlier this year, giving Hashimoto two reps a year to bolster Talon's allies during his ongoing reign. Hashimoto clans were the antagonists Overwatch Prior to its Talon alignment, Genji and Hanzo as longtime enemies of the Shimada clan.
