Mastered Ultra Ego will be the strongest technique, and here's why

When Goku first unlocked his legendary Ultra Instinct transformation Dragon Ball Superwho Tournament of Power Arc, fans believed it was only a matter of time until Vegeta would do the same. The main reason is that, up until that point, the franchise had always followed a trend when it came to form, with one person unlocking it and others following.

However, arguably the best decision on the whole Dragon Ball Super In the series, the characters would break away from shared transformations in order to pursue their own paths to power, Vegeta choosing to do so with his incredible Ultra Ego form. Although there are still some improvements to be made, here's how a mastered Ultra Ego can become the strongest form of them all.

In essence, the Ultra Ego can be easily defined as a divine transformation that acts as a mirror opposite of the Ultra Instinct. in Dragon Ball multiverse, Ultra Instinct is considered to be the greatest martial art technique of them all, requiring the user to completely calm their heart and mind in order to autonomously move their body away from danger.

This is the inherent technique of angels. As they are constantly in a state of Ultra Instinct, each of them is a martial arts master who also serves as a teacher for their God of Destruction. Although Destroyers like Beerus have actively trained to use Ultra Instinct, in fact, getting into the right state of mind to use it is completely antithetical to their nature as Gods of Destruction, so they have their own godly technology.

My mind is always on destruction and nothing else. So there is no limit to my power.

This technique is the ability to use a special type of God Ki that is completely unique to them called the Energy of Destruction, with which they can use the Hakai ability to destroy anything on a nuclear level, making it arguably the most powerful offensive technique in the history of the franchise. To use it for himself, Vegeta unlocked his Ultra Ego form.

Realizing that he would never exceed his limits due to his obsession with surpassing Goku, Vegeta gave up the need to do so. Once he abandoned his pursuit of Ultra Instinct and embraced his unique powers as a warrior, Vegeta trained with Beerus, resulting in the form of Ultra Ego.

Major Weaknesses of Ultra Ego

The Ultra Ego proved to be one of the strongest transformations and powers the series had ever produced. During his battle with Granolah, Cerulean managed to master Ultra Instinct Goku in one-shot but was completely overwhelmed by Ultra Ego Vegeta's insane power, forcing him to shatter through his own limits which still matched the Saiyan Prince's ultimate state.

However, this fight proved that Ultra Ego is far from perfect and despite appearing stronger than Ultra Instinct actually has some major disadvantages. The biggest caveat to the form is its particularity. Whereas Ultra Instinct allows the user's body to autonomously avoid damage, Ultra Ego embraces it entirely.

This is because Ultra Ego uses the damage the user takes as fuel to fuel their subsequent offense, meaning the more Vegeta is hurt in this form, the greater his successful attack will be. Although this sounds very impressive, the truth is that there is no way to reduce the damage he takes, so the Saiyan Prince can take a lot of damage in battle, causing him to pass out of his enemy's hands or even die.

This was seen in the final battle against Granolah. Although initially mastered Ultra Instinct was stronger than Goku, the lack of refinement in this form caused Vegeta to take all the damage he had accumulated to the point where it was too much to handle, causing him to finally be defeated by Granolah.

Techniques of Destruction

When Ultra Ego debuted in the Granolah Arc, the form was loved by many fans, although it drew some criticism for its functionality, or lack thereof. Critics said the idea was completely ludicrous that an open invitation to harm a user would lead them to ultimately face their own injuries.

However, Ultra Ego's potential power suggests that Vegeta may be on to something. When it was used against Granolah, it was Vegeta's first instance of going Ultra Ego, meaning it was the first time he was actively using it in battle. Since this was the first time he wielded it, it could be said to be a crude version of the transformation, similar to Ultra Instinct Sign Goku, who was only able to use half of Ultra Instinct's kit.

The God of Destruction taught me that power derived from instinct alone is limitless!

Based on that metric, it stands to reason that Vegeta only gets stronger the more he uses this technique and the more he refines it to make it as effective as possible, just like Goku was able to do with Ultra Instinct. One such way is to make vegetables last longer in this state.

In the Moro arc, Goku showed an immense level of durability and resilience by hardening his body with his Mastered Ultra Instinct state to such an extent that even a powerful villain like Moro broke his arm after punching the Saiyan. Similarly, if Vegeta were to do something similar, it would mean that he would gain all the benefits of Ultra Ego without any of the drawbacks.

Dragon Ball: The 5 Strongest Piccolo Techniques, Ranked

Piccolo is one of the strongest and most talented fighters in Dragon Ball, so let's take a look at his strongest techniques!

With good ki control and durability, Vegeta's growth in the middle of battle would theoretically be limitless, as he would continuously deal damage without hurting himself. In doing so, his force and subsequent counter attack will be completely devastating to his opponent.

As it stands, Vegeta is already the hardest hitter of the five main heroes, a feat that's undoubtedly bolstered by his brand-new Destructive Form. When mastered, Ultra Ego's power will truly be off the charts due to his unmatched destructive output, and using Ultra Instinct's body-hardening trait to become stronger by taking damage makes the Saiyan Prince a warrior that perhaps no other human can stand against.
