Nintendo is opening a new restaurant later in the fall of 2026. The new restaurant will feature theming and decor similar to the classic Nintendo series Metroid and The Legend of Zelda.
Over the years, many restaurants based on Nintendo have opened. To name a few examples, a recurring Kirby-themed cafe has appeared several times in Japan, and a cafe called Hatena Burger is offered at the Nintendo Museum of Japan. With obvious popularity with fans, a new option is coming in the near future.

Nintendo is opening a new restaurant
Nintendo has officially announced that it will be opening a new restaurant called Super Family Restaurant at the Nintendo Museum in Uji, Japan. The title is a play on the original Japanese name of the SNES, Super Family Computer, or Super Famicom. Apart from revealing the name and logo and that it will open this fall, some images of the restaurant's interior have been shared. So far, it looks like a standard sit-down restaurant for the most part, but there's some notable Nintendo theming in the form of a bust of Samus' power suit, a Master Sword replica, and a life-size statue of Link. Breath of the Wild. The official Nintendo Museum account announced that a variety of menus will be offered, including both food and desserts.

Nintendo fans who want to visit the museum before the Super Family Restaurant opens aren't entirely out of luck, as the aforementioned Hatena Burger Cafe is located there, and is currently open. Although the menu is probably more limited than what would be offered at a super family restaurant, the location offers a similar theme, especially was killed Franchise, with some Animal Crossing and Zelda Decorations are also included. The museum is housed in a plant owned by Nintendo, where it once manufactured trading cards and repaired its products, so those interested in Nintendo's long history will find much to enjoy there, whether they skip the cafe, restaurant, or two eateries altogether.
For those who can't make it to Japan, there are still some great options for Nintendo-themed food and restaurants open year-round in the US: Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Epic Universe Orlando. In addition to the theme park attractions based on Super Mario Bros., fans can visit Toadstool Cafe or Power Up Cafe for food and snacks based on the series. Super Nintendo World is also available at Universal Studios Japan.
