Reconsider the one-portal policy for death to make Path to Deportation 2 less punishable.
Road to exile 2 Early Access launched a little over a month ago, and it's already in good shape. Then, this week, GGG was released Road to exile 2’s first major 2025 patch, which addressed a plethora of issues and bugs, and implemented or acted upon player feedback in some key areas. For example, players can now overwrite Runes and other socketables such as cores on their items with a different socketable, which was a major problem with the rune system until now. While the game is doing great and can only grow from here, it could capitalize on three changes to the current version of the final game.
As it stands, there are plenty of things for players to do after finishing the campaign and brutal difficulty missions. Road to exile 2 Players are taken to the Ziggurat Refuge, which serves as a base of operations starting with Tier 1 as players gradually make their way through the upper tiers of Waystones. Atlas has a multitude of map nodes for players to choose from, with multiple icons. Represent various league mechanics or other modifiers, such as owners. All of this might be very exciting at first, but there are changes GGG could implement to improve the overall experience: a Waystone stash tab, better map/biome visibility in the atlas, and a less frustrating approach to death.

Path of Exile 2 will be a completely different game with a PoE feature
There are many differences between Path of Exile 2 and PoE 1, and an item from the latter will change the former in a big way.
Path of Exile 2 requires a Weston Stash tab
Road to exile 2Players need to constantly walk through the Westons to advance through Atlas and its fog of war and to complete objectives such as the Burning Monolith and the Three Citadels, to get Atlas inactive or reach its main parts. As such, a great addition to the game will be a dedicated Waystone Stash tab where players can easily store and access all their Waystones, filter by keywords, and group them by tier.
Stash tabs are usually paid content in Path of Exile 2 (and its predecessor), but the Weston Stash tab will be such a huge quality-of-life addition that it's arguably fine even if it's not free.
How Path of Exile 2 could improve its mapping experience
While the current 0.1.1 Road to exile 2 The patch adds new functionality to the atlas where each map node tells its biome, taking it to the next level. For example, each map node could have a short video attached showing both a sample layout of the area and a mini-map of it. This will be a game-changer because some league mechanics, eg Road to exile 2The breach or ritual, are based on the area. If a breach or ritual occurs with certain map types in a narrow corridor with certain map types, they can be dramatically less rewarding than they would otherwise be.
Why Path of Exile 2 should reconsider its one-portal policy
Last but not least, Road to exile 2Some change in approach to death may be necessary. It's no secret that GGG wanted the game to be slower and more methodical in its combat, especially since boss fights are a prevalent part of ARPGs. However, the game can be very punishing in the endgame section, where dying at any Weston means losing experience and losing access to the Weston, along with all loot picked up prior to the event.
The reasoning from GGG seems to be that, this way, players can learn from experience and improve their characters and build accordingly. However, this is hardly the case for several reasons, such as how changing gear pieces on the fly can be very difficult or how the game doesn't actually have a death recap screen where it clearly explains what happened. On top of that, though Road to exile 2 Can be paused, which is supposed to do it automatically in case of a disconnect, it happens that players can be disconnected and still die in it. What follows is making death less punishable, among other changes Road to exile 2 The best version of yourself.
