Pokemon GoThe latest season finally brings the five-year-old mechanic to the mobile title with the addition of Dynamax mons to the game's Max Out season. With this new mechanic, Pokemon Go Players can also find several Gen 8 monsters previously unobtainable in the game, including starters Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. However, this update has helped fill the void of missing Gen 8 content, Pokemon Go Still missing a major part of the Dynamax mechanic that will hopefully debut in time for the season.
In addition to the Dynamax mechanics, Gen 8's Pokemon Sword and Shield Also introduced the Gigantamax mechanic as a special version of Dynamax. Certain monsters with Gigantamax abilities take on new forms when the mechanic is activated, giving access to unique G-Max moves that are even more powerful than standard Max moves. While it's nice to see Niantic adapting the Dynamax mechanic Pokemon GoUnique brand of gameplay, it feels incomplete without access to Gigantamax mons as they were a big draw of the mechanic in the Gen 8 games.

Most critters with Gigantamax forms are from Gen 1 or Gen 8, so Pokemon Go There is a lot to work on in terms of adding these forms to the game. All available in Gen 1 Pokemon GoNiantic has some great options to pull from when introducing Gigantamax forms to the game. Additionally, the absence of a large portion of Gen 8 monsters in the game such as Colossal and Dreadnought creates the perfect opportunity for Niantic to match these monsters with their Gigantamax forms being added to the game.
How Gigantamax Can Take Pokemon GO's Dynamax Mechanic to the Next Level
In the current implementation of the Dynamax mechanic Pokemon Go Gigantamax lays a great foundation for building forms. By limiting which mons have Dynamax abilities, Pokemon Go Already followed Pokemon Sword and Shield's approach to Gigantamax, which requires specific mons for the Gigantamax Factor to attain this form when Dynamaxed. This could allow Niantic to create special max raids on power spots that give players a chance to capture one for their own team against rare Gigantamax mons.
How mega raids are variations of standard raids where the Raid Boss is a mega-evolved mon, Gigantamax mons can fill the same role as rare versions of standard Dynamax raids. Pokemon Go Might as well use a different type of Max Particle for Gigantamax Mons as Mega Evolution requires Mega Energy. With the potential of Gigantamax critters already waiting inside Pokemon GoMax out season, as players are used to standard dynamaxing it would be wise to capitalize on this new mechanic.
