Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One games
what is that You thought Amazon Prime Day had already been and gone. Yes, technically it is, but that doesn't mean you have to wait until next year for Amazon's next big sale event. You don't have to wait for the organized chaos that is Black Friday. That's because Amazon's stopgap between the two, Big Deal Days, is back. It will run till October 8th and 9thBig Deal Days are an opportunity for those who want to get their holiday shopping done good and early to get some bargains out of the bag.
Almost anything and everything you want for less will be on sale in some form or fashion on Amazon during Big Deal Days. Tracking down the goods you want with the biggest discounts is easier said than done, though. To save you trawling Amazon through the two-day event, and during the build-up to Big Deal Days many sale prices will soon go live, we've rounded up some of the best deals available. This particular hub is dedicated to heavily discounted video gamesAnd if you play on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch, there should be something available for you below.
PS5 and PS4 games
By the time the 2024 Big Deal Days sale begins, the pre-order period for the PS5 Pro will begin. Some of you might even be lucky enough to grab one, whether it's the regular model or the PS1-style 30th anniversary model. As good as the latter looks, and as good as the games you play on both, they're expensive consoles, so why take a few games for as little time as you can?
The PlayStation section of this guide isn't just for potential PS5 Pro owners, of course. There are top-selling games for those of you with a base PS5, and even for PS4 owners happy to stick with last-gen for a while. Even if none of the above has you reaching for your card now, we'll be adding more deals to each section during the build-up on Big Deal Days and after the event goes live.
Nintendo Switch Games
Although the Nintendo Switch was released more than seven years ago, and we know a successor is coming soon even though Nintendo won't tell us anything about it, its biggest games rarely drop in price. The Switch is almost certainly on track to become the best-selling console of all time, with 21 of its games selling over a million copies, so Nintendo is doing just fine. I think it will survive if we take a few games less of it.
All that being said, since Switch games continue to sell well, even when they're on sale, it's usually a few bucks saved here and there. With that in mind, we've tried to find some of the biggest games on the Switch that, while not much in most cases, are available for less on Big Deal Days and will likely come in even higher during the sales event itself. .
Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One games
Game Pass is still the biggest selling point of owning an Xbox, despite recent price increases and tier changes. However, if you don't have Game Pass, you were never interested in the first place or the price hike has put you off, you can treat your Series X|S or Xbox One like a regular console.
Sure, Game Pass is still a great deal, but that really depends on how often you use it. If you are only playing a few games a year, then those games may be cheaper to buy. Especially when some of those games are on sale, and now there are some great ones available thanks to the Big Deal days. Some of the games above aren't even available on Game Pass, so grab them for a limited time.
