Find a house you love IRL, then build it

If you're looking for realism in your Paralivs build, the best way to nail that sense is to model the build you've created with real floor plans from real homes. Load up the realty website and look around, find the vibe you want to bring to the game with this build, and keep that in mind when you click build mode.

Real buildings can be funny in ways you wouldn't expect when building in Paralives. Houses have fewer windows than you're planning to put in, or hallways are longer or narrower than you're carving with wall tools, etc. Besides, who wouldn't want a chance to build their dream home in a game like this?

Use wall dividers when painting

Create more unique looks with mixed walls

If you're building a home from scratch, you'll want to pay attention to detail as you build your dream home at Paralives. We've all built a big rectangular house once or twice when we were little, but there are plenty of ways to separate spaces in life simulators without having to build separate rooms.

If you are trying to paint one wall two colors, such as a living room that flows seamlessly into the kitchen of an open floor plan home, then you can use wall dividers to create space on that wall for each color. This saves you from manually painting every time you want to do something different on the same wall!

Change the size of the furniture

Use it to shape your favorite twin-sized bed to fit the happily ever after, reduce the sofa to a love seat, raise the height of an archway to make it a little more grand, or do something unique like create a larger toilet, the choice is yours with the object manipulation tools in Parali.

Most of the objects will appear with blue arrows on the edge of the objects, so click to drag them in different directions and see what kind of things you can create for your new homes in the park.

Use whichever shopping category feels most comfortable

Sort by room or item type

Paralives already has a furniture catalog that's only out in early access when we publish this list, and it can be easy to get overwhelmed trying to find what you need. Thankfully, the game lets you sort the shopping list in a few ways.

A room view is useful when you're trying to create one specific room at a time in the house and need common items nearby—beds and dressers in the bedroom category, refrigerators and stoves in the kitchen, and so on. Alternatively, you can sort by category to see items at a glance, with additional category breakdowns here to help you find anything faster.

Who doesn't want free rare art?

Have you come home at the end of a long and tiring day scouring the dirt for rare paintings or statues, digging around town for buried treasure chests? If you don't plan to donate them to a museum or Melino's Community Center bundles, you can use your finds for free decorations.

What feels more natural for family-based living, though, especially if you've got lots of little ones, is to keep a wide selection of clutter here, there and everywhere around the house. Pop cutlery and fruit bowls on the kitchen counter, accessories above the dresser, and more to really set the mood. Live In that house you built.

Your favorite wall art, now as a rug

While we've already talked about the standard tools you can use to redesign your patio furniture, the Advanced Tools option gives you more ways to customize the hundreds of items on your shopping list into potentially completely new ones.

When you use the advanced tool in Paralives, the three colored circles that appear on your selected object can move and resize that object in more ways than adjusting its size with arrows. Move objects around to make the live-in home look completely unfinished, place furniture at angles to create more unique rooms inside, and let your imagination run even wilder in the Buy Catalog.

The plants and paths feel very natural

The areas you can buy around Melino to build on in Paralives are great, but with so many terrain tools available to you in build mode, why not get a little more creative with the area outside your new home as well?

Tartan tools at Paralives allow you to completely redo the natural areas you own. Add or remove grass and other greenery, plant trees or flowers to bring life to the space, add a few water features here and there, and use the property to physically shape it into the lot of your dreams.
