BF6: VCR-2 Unlock Guide

VCR-2 is the fastest killing weapon Battlefield 6. This rifle was first introduced in Season 2, where it was locked after progressing through the Battle Pass. Now, players can unlock it by completing the Season 2 Catch-Up Hardware challenge that involves using shoulder-mounted missile launchers. Challenge to unlock VCR-2 BF6 Pretty simple, but while it's not too difficult, it will demand a fair bit of patience.

To obtain this weapon, you need to complete the following objectives after obtaining the 9K38 Igla Launcher. BF6:

  1. Deal 3000 damage to a vehicle with a shoulder strike missile
  2. Destroy or help destroy 5 aircraft using the 9K38 Igla

The first objective is easy enough: Just pick your favorite rocket launcher for the engineer class, then hunt down all the enemy ground vehicles you can find.. You'll finish this challenge playing the game normally as an engineer, but the second part of the challenge is where things get tricky.

Engaging enemy aircraft BF6 This is harder than it sounds, especially since pilots can avoid being hit by pop flares from lock-on launchers like the 9K38 Igla or by going below or out of radar range. However, Igla can work around this issue Because of the ability to retrieve targets.

How to use Igla

If you didn't know, Even after the first missile misses its initial target, you can still lock onto the plane using the IglaProvided that the missile itself is still in the air. You'll notice that when you fire a missile with this weapon, you sometimes won't be able to reload immediately – meaning that your original missile is still somewhere on the battlefield.

If this is the case, re-aim the sights of the Igla, and try to lock onto the enemy jet or helicopter. You should be able to lock on to it, and if you can stay on-target for a while, your original missile will eventually hit its mark.

When I was attempting this challenge, I have played Conquest on the railway to Golmud. This map has a lot of air vehicles available for both teams, so you'll have more chances to shoot at something. I sat next to my team's AA tank and waited for someone to fire a missile. Once the enemy pilot uses his flare, I will immediately follow up with an Igla missile. This often results in a hit, and if the enemy plane's health is low enough, it often kills for the sake of the challenge.

The best targets to shoot at are enemy jets and helicopters that are actively engaging your team's pilots.

It took me three full games of launching rockets at enemy pilots Unlock on VCR-2 BF6. The progress tracking error for the challenge occurred at the time I tried to do this; Cooperation did not count for a challenge, and pilots did not count on destroying planes that had bailed out. This should hopefully be fixed by now, but if not, get ready for an annoying time.

If you run out of Igla missiles, just reload and find another place to shoot. You'll inevitably take away your team's tickets by doing this, but at least you're keeping the skies clear by zoning out enemy pilots, if not taking them out.
