Jujutsu Kaisen: 6 Reasons It Should Get a Sequel or Spinoff

Here are some reasons why the Jujutsu Kaisen series deserves a spin-off or sequel.

Many talented magicians in the world JJK At one time another was described as gozo, and some others were said to be strong enough to pass even a special grade. However, now that the story is over, fans can watch the various characters fail to reach the story with sky-high potential.

8 Fumihiko Takaba

Comedian, Fumihiko Takaba ability

  • Cursed Technique: The Comedian
  • Domain Extension: None

Fumihiko Takaba was introduced to the Jujutsu Kaisen calling game. Although unaware of his own powers, Takaba is said to possess a cursed technique called the Comedian, which allows him to make anything remotely funny come into reality. It was described as a broken technique that could rival even Gozo Satoru.

Unfortunately, Takaba never reached that level and at the end of the series, he was seen still planning his various jokes and comedy scripts. Of course, if JJK ever continues, maybe he can show his true potential. But, as things stand, his curse technique is completely wasted.

7 Nobara Kugisaki

Nobra shows off his new eyepatch.

  • Cursed Technique: Straw Doll Technique
  • Domain Extension: None

Nobara Kugisaki was always known as one of the strongest up-and-coming magicians. JJK. Sure, she never got as much attention as the likes of Yuji and Megumi, but she was still strong and could potentially reach a much higher level.

Sadly, Nobara was cut from the entire story, and only returned a few chapters before the end. At this point, it was incredibly difficult to gauge how strong she really had become. Regardless, what fans could easily tell was that Nobara was far from fulfilling his potential.

6 In Hiromi Higuru

  • Shikigami: Judge
  • Domain Extension: Deadly Punishment

Hiromi Higuruma was introduced to fans in The Calling Game as an up-and-coming magician, and also easily one of the most exciting characters with the most potential. In the battle against Tsukuna he fought in Shinjuku, it was made clear to fans that Higuru was a magician with talent on the same level as Gojo.

In fact, even Tsukune respected him, and the fact that he survived Tsukune's world-splitting disintegration is a testament to his incredible talent. Despite all of that, Higuruuma never reached his potential. Of course, this is largely related to the fact that the series didn't give him enough time to grow and ended abruptly. But, by the end of the series, Higuru was still an unpolished gem, as fans found her in The Calling Game.

5 My Janine

  • Cursed Technology: Construction
  • Domain Extension: None

Mai Genin is a very interesting choice for this list, and this is largely because her technique, which was once seen as weak, was completely redefined by Yorozu, who made her appearance in the calling game. Yorozu and Mai possessed the same technique, but the way Yorozu used it made him the strongest in the Heian era.

Mai clearly had great potential but failed to reach it. He died in an attempt to sacrifice himself for his sister so that he could destroy the entire Genin Order and reduce things to ashes, which he successfully did.

4 Aoi Todo

Jujutsu Kaisen: The wasted potential of the main trio of Jujutsu Kaisen

JJK's main trio fell short. Yuji, Nobara and Megumi didn't live up to their potential.

Even though Todo returned in the Shinjuku Showdown arc, he was not shown to be on the same level as a true special grade mage. Tsukuna eventually dealt with them, and although he greatly improved his technique, Todo's true potential was never met.

3 Yuta Okkotsu

  • Cursed Technique: Copy
  • Domain expansion: authentic mutual love

Yuta is a very powerful person in Okkotsu JJK series and a character that Gozo once announced would reach his same level in the future. Unfortunately, fans never got to see that JJK.

Yuta, despite having immense control over cursed energy and next to Rika, was nowhere near Gozo's level in the end. The only way he could get close to Gozo was to actually take over his body, and even then, his control was terrifying. All things considered, Utah still has great potential and will continue to grow, but eventually JJKHe was also far and near Gozo.

2 Yuji Itadori

  • Cursed Techniques: Blood Manipulation, Shrine
  • Domain Extension: Anonymous

Yuji is another magician that Gozo believes will one day reach his level of power. In fact, it was also made clear that Yuji had the same level of ability as Sukuna. Of course, Yuji will continue to grow, as he is incredibly young and will likely reach the top level one day.

However, fans won't get to see that happen because JJK is already finished, and by the end of the series, Yuji is much weaker than the likes of Gojo and Sukuna.

1 Megumi Fushiguro

  • Cursed Technique: Ten Shadow Technique
  • Domain Expansion: Chimera Shadow Garden

Megami Fushiguro, an up-and-coming magician, has always been considered incredibly talented. Gozo clearly stated that Megumi could one day reach her level of power, but, due to the weird way it was cut from the story, she never actually reached her potential.

In fact, it's absolutely incredible that Megumi didn't get to complete her domain. He only served as a tool for Sukuna to spread terror in the series finale, and other than that, his importance was almost negligible.
