In 2025, said to be one of the most influential Chinese anime Lord of Mysterywas officially released on Crunchyroll. While this anime ended its Season 1 run in the same year, it's now officially returning with new episodes on June 20, 2026, and we can't wait for more Klein Moretti content to drop on Crunchyroll.
Lord of Mysteries Officially Announces 3 New Episodes Coming to Crunchyroll June 20, 2026
Since its inception in 2006, Crunchyroll has become the largest platform for anime streaming. Since then, its popularity has grown exponentially, and it's consistently spawning some incredible series beyond the typical Japanese anime. On June 28, 2025, Crunchyroll began airing what is now considered the best Chinese anime of all time — Lord of Mystery. Lord of Mystery went on a strong run with 13 episodes and ended on September 13, 2025. Since then, the series has received no new content, but that is changing in June 2026.
On June 20, 2026, Lord of Mysteries will officially return to the Crunchyroll platform with three new episodes. The first episode will be released on the same date, while the others will be released weekly later based on current information. All of us Lord of Mysteries fans are excited for this new adventure from Klein Moretti in a new story.

Lord of Mystery' The grand return in June 2026 is already building huge excitement for fans of the Donghua series. With three new episodes, there's a lot of content to look forward to, but it's natural to wonder what exactly is covered in this new release, and whether the upcoming content is also canon in the books, or added by CMAY PICTURES.
Everything we know about the upcoming three episodes comes via the teaser trailer released on June 1, 2026. It's clear from this trailer that the upcoming episodes are here to correct the big mistake Lord of Mysteries Season 1 made. As we know, it has many contents. Lord of Mystery Book removed or flashed. These episodes will fix that to some extent, and include important events that were previously cut.
Specifically, these three episodes will add much-needed context to the events that must unfold between episodes 10 and 11 of Lord of Mysteries Season 1. These episodes will highlight Derrick, an important character whose backstory was not explored. New episodes can be brought back and expanded from even more books, ahead. It's incredibly exciting, and a great move from the studio after initially rushing the story of the book. After all, the omitted material led to a very confusing story, and this was a major complaint expressed by dedicated fans and new viewers alike. Klein's story is incredibly complex, and deserves enough time to tell it well.

More Lord of Mystery content is officially coming in 2027
Lord of Mystery Has secured his future with CMAY PICTURE. Based on the incredibly popular book Cuttlefish the Loves Diving, this anime has achieved worldwide success and has become one of the most popular releases in recent years. Because of this, the studio behind it has already confirmed a wide array of new content for the franchise.
For one, Lord of Mysteries season 2 has been officially confirmed. While an exact release date has yet to be determined, Lord of Mysteries Season 2 is coming back in 2027, which means the wait isn't that long. Not only is the story returning to 2027, but it's making a comeback with a higher episode count, an actual opening sequence and an extended episode length. In all likelihood, the return will be even better than Season 1.
After Lord of Mysteries Season 2, the series has confirmed content for Season 7. This level of foreboding is unheard of in anime. The studio behind the hit anime has revealed that it plans to release Season 3 in 2030, Season 4 in 2032, Season 5 in 2033, Season 6 in 2034, and finally, Season 7 in 2035. There is of course more content, like special episodes, as well as getting an official video game on June 26. 2026, which means fans have something to look forward to for years to come.
