By this time, Saul had separated from the marines and went to warn Orah of an impending disaster. He befriended Robin and thus the two got to know each other. Soon after, Ohara was destroyed by a World Government attack that triggered the Buster Call. It was a sad moment for Robin. His entire family, made up of the scholars of Ohara, was removed from his right before his eyes. His men, the common citizens of Ohara, were killed in cold blood, and his only friend, who was Saul, was frozen to the bone by Cuzan. Saul was left to die while Robin only made it out alive.

The reason why Robin survived is because she had a great will and eventually, she found the right people around her. Robin survived very well, but O'Hara wasn't the only survivor. As revealed in the one-shot Egghead Island arc, Saul managed to survive the events of O'Hara and the island as it was engulfed in flames. The ice around him melted and he finally managed to escape.

At Egghead it was learned that Saul had taken refuge at Elbaph and had been living there ever since. Fans knew that Elbaf would bring them a big reunion when this big piece of information was brought forward by Oda. Robin was already looking forward to her reunion with Saul, and as Elbaf started, this reunion was getting closer.

Saul himself could not hold back his tears, knowing that Robin had passed all the tricks and she stood before him again. Of course, the fact that they were reunited was special. Robin missed Saul and he missed her. It was the best reunion anyone could ask for in a piece. That said, this won't be a reunion just for Elbaf to chase fans. Luffy's reunion with Shanks has been teased on several occasions. It was first teased during the Battle of Paramount, where Shanks refused to see him because he didn't want to break his promise, and later down the line, it was teased again in Wano, where Luffy had just defeated Kaido.

Now, One Piece is in its final saga, and Luffy is currently in Elbaf, widely known as Shanks' territory. Although Shanks isn't in Elbaf right now, he's bound to return at some point, and when that happens, it's very likely that these two characters are going to meet each other. The reunion of Shanks and Luffy is going to be huge, as it is not only emotional, but at the same time, it will result in an exciting battle between these two characters, which will show fans what Shanks can do. It really does.

Meet Usopp and Yasopp

Finally, there is also the reunion of Usopp and Yassop to consider. Fans know that Usopp abandoned Usopp and his own wife long ago because he said the sea called to him.
