Key Takeaways
- Seek fashion over armor stats in Elden Ring’s endgame Elden Bling. Look good, be an Elden Lord.
- From hobo to Kanye West, armory in Elden Ring offers diverse fashion options for the Tarnished.
- Players can wear fabulous armor sets, such as Ranni’s Snow Witch set, Alberich’s set, or dress as a samurai or ronin.
Arise now, ye Tarnished for the Lands Between is ripe for the taking. But thou must remember, killing thy Elden Lords is mere diversion. For thou must prepare to slay in the true Elden Ring endgame, Elden Bling. Because if one is to become an Elden Lord, one has to look better than a wretch. Armor stats be damned, fashion is all that matters once players have gotten “gud.”
Luckily, Elden Ring‘s armory is akin to a fashion designer’s wardrobe. Options range from being a literal hobo to an odd case of Kanye West taste, but there are styles in between. That might be overwhelming for those who are too busy worrying about Margit’s next appearance (whoops). Hence, allow this list to present the most fashionable armor so that thee can be too sexy for thy shirt, it hurts, doth it not Tarnished?
Updated on September 23, 2024, by Nahda Nabiilah: As much as armor is used for protection in Elden Ring, it is equally used to be fashionable while slaying bosses. Thanks to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, Tarnished now have a new collection of armor sets to show off their style. Some players even go above and beyond to mix and match different armor sets together to achieve maximum results. Just keep in mind that although some armor sets have all pieces found together, some require exploring the map to loot all the pieces.
Confessor Starter Armor
Players don’t need to go far to look like they have a competent drip in Elden Ring. Simply starting out as the Confessor class is enough sometimes. For it has one of the most satisfying hoods in the game; large enough to veil the wearer’s face, and wavy enough to add an air of mystery.
The hood also goes well with a lot of armor sets, and it’s the perfect armor for cosplaying assassins from Assassin’s Creed. The rest of the Confessor set isn’t forgettable either. The armor piece has a flowy cape and a thematic cloth pauldron and wearing the whole attire makes players look imposing enough.
On a corpse in East Windmill Pasture, Altus Plateau
While not as dramatic as the other armor sets in Elden Ring, The Noble’s set deserves its moment to shine. Each armor piece belongs to royalty and those who wear this set are known to be of the highest esteemed nobles, even in death.
The Noble’s set is made from pure silk and is white as snow, which will turn out to be a lovely contrast when Tarnished are covered in blood from killing enemies and exploring dangerous areas. The Navy Hood is the icing on the cake as it seals the outfit by obscuring a bit of the face and draping it dramatically over one shoulder.
Dropped by Cuckoo Knights in Liurnia of the Lakes
The Cuckoo Knight set is just a reskinned version of the typical knight armor in the Lands Between. There are many variants of this one from Caelid to Altus Plateau. However, the Cuckoo Knight set sets itself apart by being the most pristine out of all the variants.
It has a complete cape (which is the least tattered) and the colors of the coat of arms aren’t faded at all compared to the more dilapidated variants, making the Cuckoo Knight set more respectable. In terms of lore, it has some significant implications, such as signifying how Liurnia of the Lakes remained untouched by the Greater Will’s oppression and greed.
Samurai Starting Armor
Like the Confessor, the Samurai in Elden Ring starts off with undeniable style. Thanks to some leftover assets from Sekiro, players get to have a competent fashion statement in the form of the Land of the Reeds set, which is basically just weathered samurai armor in Elden Ring.
The masked helmet paired with the bouncy armor plates makes it more animated and hypnotic compared to most plate armor sets. It’s a good way to stave off some murder-hungry Fashion Police invaders without investing too much time and exploration effort.
Dropped by Kaiden Sellsword enemies in Limgrave
For those who prefer their armor and fashion statements in either a rugged Viking or standard Anglo-Saxon fit, then the Kaiden set satisfies that masculine urge to raid villages and settle everywhere. This fictionalized take on Anglo-Saxon armor has a huge fur drape for the pauldrons, exuding a more primal spirit.
The scale armor is also a nice touch, but what stole the show apart from the wolf skin as a jacket would be the closed helmet. It makes players look enigmatic and violently mysterious. Thankfully, players can get it early on from those pesky Kaiden horsemen.
From Sorcerer Rogier’s Corpse in Roundtable Hold
Sorcerer Rogier has made some serious and silly mistakes that led to his demise, but given his easygoing and kind disposition, one can forgive him; besides, the man knows how to dress to impress. As far as wizards go in Elden Ring, he’s has one of the cleanest senses of fashion.
The half-cape paired with the minstrel boots and the huge wizard hat gives Rogier and anyone who wears his moldy armor the charisma of a bard. It’s not just for style either, the Spellblade set has been proven to enhance magic damage from Ashes of War.
Seluvis’s Corpse inside Seluvis’ Rise in Three Sisters
Oversized fedoras are in fashion, especially when worn by a Moonveil user. The best big hat in the game is arguably from the Preceptor’s set, which is Seluvis’ choice of attire. Lore-wise, they represent one of the highest esteem a sorcerer can achieve in Liurnia of the Lakes.
Underneath the hat is an intricate planetary or star alignment pattern or chart which reinforces the intellectual flair of this armor piece. The robes themselves are not too shabby and, compared to the other wizard robes, they look neat and orderly. If there was one thing Seluvis did right, it was dying so that players could have his armor set.
Warmasters Shack, Limgrave/Crumbling Farum Azula
Knight Bernahl’s Beast Champion set is already one of the most intricately-patterned armors in the game. Players will also be delighted to know that Berhanl was wearing the altered version, and they can “un-alter” it back to its original state with Tailoring Tools or through Boc the Seamster.

Elden Ring: 8 Hilarious Horse Memes
Torrent may be primarily the player’s most trusted friend in Elden Ring, but it’s also a major source of the funniest Elden Ring memes.
Once reverted to its original form, it becomes the most regal armor set in Elden Ring. That cape is second to none in terms of handsomeness. The white and blue colors complement one another well, and it also makes the armor more aesthetically compatible with pieces from other sets.
Completing Goldmask and Corhyn’s quests
It’s not just a bikini. It’s a golden bikini to be witnessed by the forefathers one and all! Of course, any other Tarnished wears it a lot better than the beef-jerky man that is Goldmask. It’s also one of the most revealing armor sets in the game but if one’s Tarnished has the physique to proudly flaunt, then why cover it with steel?
It’s also the perfect armor for sunbathing in Leyndell, Ashen Capital once the Erdtree has burned and the UV rays are at their peak due to the carbon dioxide poisoning in the Leyndell air. Don’t expect the armor to have any form of protection, combat style has to be all or nothing.
Defeat Malenia, Blade of Miquella
This armor is for people who have never known defeat. Well, at least the original owner didn’t. But none of that matters because Malenia’s simple yet elegant war robe is one of the most unique in Elden Ring. It’s certainly a fashion statement as well, indicating that players have defeated the most difficult boss ever in the history of Soulsborne games.
The helmet is also a lovely Valkyrie piece that fits in well with other golden or brass-colored armor sets. It even adds a wig just to remind players whom the armor belonged to, in case they’ve forgotten that Malenia is the Blade of Miquella, and she has never known defeat.
Defeat two Night Cavalry in Consecrated Snowfields
Players get to obtain this medium armor set a little late in Elden Ring despite seeing Night Cavalry bosses early game. The fight to obtain it is also daunting and somewhat unfair. However, black goes well on anything, so one can’t go wrong with this armor set.
The Night’s Cavalry set is as black as the starless night sky and has a tattered black cape just in case people don’t get that the wearer is too edgy for them. To that end, it’s also a good alternative to the Blaidd set if players want to cosplay as Guts the Black Swordsman before he gets the Berserker armor.
Found in Different Parts of the Land of Shadow
The Gravebird Set definitely falls under the unique armors category due to its chest piece that’s littered with black feathers. The ‘sleeves’ are long, wide, and covered with feathers which gives the illusion of wings. The idea is to resemble a bird, which is why the helmet appears like a bird’s head with a long beak. However, instead of normal eyes, it’s beautifully carved like a piece of art.
If the look is too dramatic for players, there is an alternative chest piece found in Gravesite Plain without the long feathered sleeves. However, since the original one had a 10% jump attack buff, the altered version loses the buff.
Complete Ranni’s Quest and kill Blaidd in Ranni’s Rise
Blaidd’s armor set is a status symbol. It’s proof that players are patient enough (or worship Ranni too much) to finish her dizzyingly arduous questline. In any case, the questline has some incredible rewards, but the cherry on top is Blaidd’s armor, complete with a wolf helmet which may or may not be his actual head since he’s a Wolf-man.
Everything from the fur cape to the elegant trimmings in his armor makes it stand out from the usual pan-textured stuff that players loot. Also, there’s no better armor to cosplay Guts from Berserk in the game. Berserk fans owe it to themselves to grab the armor.
Complete the 3rd Request at Volcano Manor
A “knight in shining armor” is actually a negative description since it typically refers to combatants who are inexperienced and don’t have battle scars yet. However, players will easily forgive Hoslow’s armor set despite it being pristine. The whole get-up is dashing and gorgeous.
The red cloth pairs well with the chrome and silver and gives the armor an elegant yet deadly appearance thanks to the elongated horns of the helmet. Sadly, it can be difficult to mix and match the pieces of Hoslow’s set with most armor sets because of clean it is, but one wouldn’t want to separate the individual pieces from one another now, would they?
Defeat Dancer of Ranah in the Southern Nameless Mausoleum
The Dancer’s Set is extremely different from any armor introduced before in Elden Ring. The red dress that’s weighted with gold on the top and littered with frills at the bottom will bewitch anyone once you twirl around and perform a dance attack.
The best part is that the altered form of the Dancer’s Set is also equally breathtaking. Instead of a passionate red color, Tarnished gets to wear a black dress without the frills at the bottom to enhance its simplicity. The belt is also removed to further decrease the Set’s weight.
Dropped by Rotten Duelists in Consecrated Snowfield
It’s difficult to obtain since the individual parts are dropped by Rotten Duelists in a secret optional area but this whole armor set is on fire. Never mind the armor stats, most endgame players typically have enough skill to dodge and roll that form takes priority over function and this armor’s form is fantastic.
Any Tarnished who wears it becomes the big Red Rotten Hood thanks to that flowy cape and oversized hood which hides the freaky gladiator helmet. Wear it in PvP, and it should be enough to make the opponent hesitant, facing off against someone who would readily subject their six-pack to danger just for a fashion statement. Besides, the cloth is already red, no one will notice all the bleeding.
Help Bernahl Assassinate Two Targets
Much like the Rotten Duelist Set, the Raging Wolf Set is also rare and raging red. It requires a specific set of triggers and restraints in the Volcano Manor questline to be obtainable. Players can get it as a reward for killing the NPC who wore it originally in the Fortified Manor in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
The armor appears to be inspired by a Viking helmet paired with fire and aged iron for the other metallic parts. The faded red cape is just an added bonus, lending much to the rugged warrior look that fits in well with Elden Ring‘s setting.
Dropped by Lesser Cleanrot Knights in Caelid or Miquella’s Haligtree
Cleanrot set is a bit hard to obtain as you need to keep killing the Lesser Cleanrot Knights until all pieces are obtained. But the result will be worth it as the set is one of the best-looking ones and the armor pieces’ description is just dramatically good.
It is said that the Cleanrot Knight set was once worn by Malenia’s Knights during the Shattering, where they vowed to always stay by her side. The outfit is metal armor, but it’s enhanced with a red and white cap around the waist along with a sturdy helmet with two white feathers on each side, similar to the Viking helmet that belongs to Malenia.
Destroy Chariots in Auriza Hero’s Grave
Ever wanted to be a tanky character without sacrificing aesthetics or looking like Ganondorf? Well, the Tree Sentinel Set is the best armor for that kind of preference. But of course, players have probably coveted that armor as soon as they stepped in Limgrave as it’s the same one worn by the Tree Sentinel boss.
As expected, it’s every bit as majestic, shiny, and golden as the Tree Sentinel boss’ attire. Those broad pauldrons and the plumed Corinthian-style helmet make it look like armor fit for the gods. Of course, there’s also a cape— there has to be a cape. Last but not least, it’s the perfect “Giant Dad” armor. The legend never dies.
Defeat Rellana, the Twin Moon Knight
The armor pieces of Rellana’s Set blend in so seamlessly together to the point that they can appear as one piece. One side of the hips is covered with a Fauld (skirt armor) while the other has a skirt made out of royal blue cloth that also wraps around the shoulder.
The helmet offers Tarnished extra protection, but what’s interesting about it is the long black braid that’s connected to the top. Defeating Rellana is challenging, but if the rewards include her armor set, it will definitely be worth it.
