Studio 4°C is working on a new original anime movie! The project was announced during Toei's 2025-2026 lineup press conference, as Toei (Dragon Ball, a pieceAt least the film will be distributed in Japan.
4°C was founded in 1986 and has been increasingly involved in anime production since the 2000s – they made animation series before 2000, but their involvement in this type of production was very limited. They produced something Animatrix (2003) episodes and also animated Berserk: The Golden Age arc trilogy.
New The movie has been named chaoAnd it's set to debut in Japan in summer 2025. Since Toei is involved with this production, there is a chance that they are aiming to release it internationally, be it in theaters or directly on streaming services.
No information about an international release has been unveiled yet, but Studio 4°C posted about the film in English, also hinting that they want the film to reach overseas audiences:

Yasuhiro Aoki In charge of direction. he is credited as Assistant Animation Director Last: The Naruto MovieThe movie leading up to Naruto and Hinata's wedding is considered canon by many fans. He also worked as a director this time Senjutsu Choukoukaku Orion, Honey Tokyo And episode 4 Batman: Gotham City.
Hirokazu Kojima (Deadman's Wonderland) is the character designer and lead animation director, while Hiroshi Takiguchi (Ajin, Weather with you) is the art director. The main writer (or writers) has not been revealed, but there is a chance that Aoki is also writing the script.
