Remember when the joke was used “We're getting [this] before GTA 6?” Well, those days are long behind us, because GTA 6 Finally officially launching on November 19, 2026. But do you know which games are not launching this year? The Elder Scrolls 6Of course. Yes, I wish Bethesda would take as much time as they need to make this game right (or as close to right as they possibly can) because I know it needs it. However, I also craved an original mainline The Elder Scrolls Game from my relationship Skyrim The game ended more than a decade ago, though it has been on and off again through countless re-releases. I know I'm not the only one who feels like the wait has gone on forever, but the craziest part of it all is that somehow we're getting it. GTA 6 before The Elder Scrolls 6. It's hard to believe that I can say this and still be factually correct.
Now, I wouldn't say that The Elder Scrolls 6 Should have started earlier Grand Theft Auto 6 Because I understand how unrealistic and insensitive that can sound. I find it interesting that they are both the 6th mainline entries in their respective franchises, so maybe that number has something to do with the long waits and delays. But am I getting serious, considering both Rockstar and Bethesda's desire for quality and the amount of time that has passed between the latter. Grand Theft Auto and The Elder Scrolls installments and now, it seems once more believable that Bethesda's long-awaited RPG will arrive first. after all, The Elder Scrolls 6 It was publicly announced five years before Rockstar was even properly revealed GTA 6But the latter is now months away while the former still feels like a game from some distant, imaginary future.
Again, I'm glad Bethesda isn't in a hurry The Elder Scrolls 6 Just out the door for the wait to end, but it's crazy to me to see a sequel to one of gaming's most famous periods lose it to the punch. It's not just what it ultimately comes down to The Elder Scrolls 6It is also a long development. In fact, that's about as long as we've had the original The Elder Scrolls Game, length of time between Grand Theft Auto 5Projection of and GTA 6and all that Bethesda and Rockstar have accomplished during that time, while we wait The Elder Scrolls 6.

- The Elder Scrolls 6 Still in development.
The first thing to consider is the facts Skyrim Started on November 11, 2011. At the time of writing, then, almost 15 years have passed since we were treated to a new mainline. The Elder Scrolls Game from Bethesda – and I'm not counting The Elder Scrolls OnlineWhich was developed by ZeniMax Online Studio and published only by Bethesda. But what is most remarkable is the last one Grand Theft Auto game, GTA 5He was released after about two years SkyrimAnd yet GTA 6The famous memed “how-long-will-we-wait” game, is officially coming up The Elder Scrolls 6.
Now, let me be a little more generous, because I'm sure you're thinking, “Bethesda is busier between releases than Rockstar,” and you'd be right. While both Rockstar and Bethesda have two major franchises to juggle between The Elder Scrolls and result For Bethesda and Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption For Rockstar, Bethesda's newest IP, StarfieldJoined the ranks while waiting The Elder Scrolls 6. Because of this, it really has more than Rockstar on its plate, so it's only natural The Elder Scrolls 6 Coming later, and possibly not even later, Grand Theft Auto 6.
Bethesda's priorities are to blame for the long wait for The Elder Scrolls 6
But the question I and many others have been asking for a long time is “Why?” Don't get me wrong –Starfield Was/is good, and I'm one of those who actually enjoyed it despite all its haters. But not only for that Fallout 76—Bethesda's big live-service project—is an odd one to prioritize what is widely regarded as the studio's most defining franchise. in between Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls 6Released by Bethesda Result 4, Fallout 76and StarfieldAll of which has undoubtedly contributed to the long wait for the developer's highly anticipated open-world RPG. And on top of that, the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, which slowed things down as well.
in other words, The Elder Scrolls 6 Having to wait in line behind three other Bethesda games, which, in turn, explains why Grand Theft Auto 6 Here comes the first. opposite The Elder Scrolls 6, GTA 6 Actually it was just Red Dead Redemption 2 To wait (if you don't count developer time spent GTA Online), so it makes sense that it will start further TES6. However, that doesn't detract from my point about Rockstar GTA A sequel that everyone once thought would never come is now in full swing The Elder Scrolls 6 Punch in the crazy turn of events.
in between Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls 6Released by Bethesda Result 4, Fallout 76and StarfieldAll of which has undoubtedly contributed to the long wait for the developer's highly anticipated open-world RPG.
At the end of the day, I'd rather wait a few more years The Elder Scrolls 6 Bethesda rush it out rather than watch because we are all tired of waiting. This game has a lot riding on it, especially later Skyrim What took more than a decade to define The Elder Scrolls The game can be for a whole generation of players. Still, none of that makes the situation any less surprising. GTA 6 Gaming's favorite went from a fantasy release to an actual game with a date on the calendar, while The Elder Scrolls 6 Little remains beyond the title, the teaser, and the distant promise. Maybe Bethesda's long road will eventually prove worthwhile, but until then, the fact remains GTA 6 Somehow lost The Elder Scrolls 6 To the Punch is going to be one of the most insanely bonkers twists in modern gaming.
