The simplest way to get Ancient Civilization Parts is to find and defeat Alpha Pulsewhich acts as the world boss on the map. They all have their dedicated map icons, making them easy to locate after you clear the fog of war from certain areas by unlocking watchtowers.

Even the low-level Alpha Pulse drops a respectable amount of Ancient Civilization Parts, so getting tons of all of these can see how quickly you can defeat bosses. If your level is high enough, you can install any alpha tent whose level is lower than yours. A round trip to the windswept island should net you parts of a few dozen ancient civilizations within minutes. A chalet near Fort Ruins is the main farming material – beating or capturing an Alpha Pal will yield loot, and if you butcher a captured Alpha Pal, you can double-dip into its reward.

Dungeon bosses also drop parts of ancient civilizations when defeated. If you see an open dungeon, spare a few minutes to rush towards the boss waiting for you at the end. Generally, they are no more difficult than the Alpha Pal in the open world, but you can't capture them with any kind of Pal Sphere.

Have friends that boost items dropped by enemies. For example, Manasting increases items dropped by Electric Pals. This goes a long way when it comes to farming materials that can only be harvested from Pals.

Method of fishing

While you're exploring the world, you can run into some fishing spots that have purple glows floating above them. These spots mean you can grab an alpha sail from them. When you see one of these, get out a fishing rod with the best bait you have, then cast your line and wait for a bite. With any luck, the tentacles you catch from these fishing spots will be Alpha Tentacles — you'll get Ancient Civilization Parts by grabbing the tentacles, and you can get a bunch more if you kill them with a meat cleaver.

You can find some purple fishing spots in the image gallery above. If you want to explore more, I recommend checking out Waterways, Lakes, and Shorelines. Use a flying sail to quickly traverse the environment, or get a mountable water sail like the Jormantide or Naptilius if you want to explore open sea fishing spots.
