Where to Farm Frozen Aster in Grim Dawn Fangs of Asterkarn

Freyol Valley Frozen Aster Locations

To cultivate frozen aster, search Frozen Blooms – Small flowering shrubs that blend into the environment Fangs of Asterkarn New areas. In my experience, they are Frostveil appears frequently in the Highlands and Freyoll Valley. After testing several routes, I have put together two reliable farming routes that work very well.

Start at Freyoll Canyon Rift (map image above):

  • Follow the path up and to the right, hugging the border of the map.

  • You'll soon come to four potential frozen bloom spots.

  • The first two are extremely reliable: they live in crevices and very close to each other and spawn almost every race.

  • The next two are less consistent and may require clearing some enemies to get there.

Once you're done in Freyol Valley, teleport Kurn Bonfire Rift in the Frostveil Highlands (map image above). The area is a bit more spread out, but following the path can lead you to five potential frozen bloom spots.

Frozen Blooms are spread randomly, so they don't appear in the exact circle spots in the map images above every time. However, they show up most of the time. Some frozen blooms may not release frozen aster at all, while others may release two of them at once!

Once you get comfortable with the routes, you can clear both areas in just one A few minutes for 5-10 consecutive frozen esters per run. The quickest way to reset is to go back to the main menu and reload the fields. Repeat as needed.

You can explore the rest of the Frostville Highlands and Freyol Valley for additional spans, but sticking to these two routes is the most efficient method.

Frozen Aster can also drop from chests, enemies and bosses, but it is very random and not efficient for fast farming.
