Invincible VS makes Angstrom Levy's roster absence stick out like a sore thumb

Spoilers for Amazon's Invincible Show and the recently released Invincible VS Fighting Game

Among others, Angstrom Levi is one of the most notable missing characters INVINCIBLE VSRoster of. It was already a tough pill to swallow that his dimension-hopping powers wouldn't be present in gameplay, but Invincible VS'The story mode actually makes it worse.

It's been a hot minute since invincible Fans have also spotted Angstrom Levi. the time between invincibleThe recent season 4 finale and INVINCIBLE VSThe release of is no coincidence, but in both, Angstrom Levy had neither hair nor hide. Currently caught up in his contract with the techies (on the show), he's unable to pursue his all-consuming vendetta against Mark — whom no one hates like Angstrom hates Levi. But that pure, visceral hatred is missing in Invincible VS despite every indication he should be there.

Invincible VS's Story Mode basically depends on Angstrom Levy's In-Universe Identity

in INVINCIBLE VSIn the story mode, players will discover that the beloved title hero, several guardians and other heroes, as well as some Viltrumites, have all been captured by unknown invaders. They're trapped in some sort of dome that's forcing them to confuse nearby enemies, with the twist that everyone's being captured by technocrats. The technicians are collecting energy from the character's fights, and just from the screams of Angstrom Levy. His appearance on the show, along with the fact that he's still alive, is due to technicalities, and no cosmic changes (at least as explained by this story mode) suggest that Angstrom Levy isn't involved.

Like INVINCIBLE VS's story mode ends, with an abrupt cliff-hanger showing the technicians excavating the Earth, all seemingly attributed to Angstrom Levi's plan. At the very least, while it may just be a technicality, it's hard to imagine him not being involved. His absence was already bad, but the story mode makes it even more gut-wrenching.

There is a good chance of getting out of it INVINCIBLE VSof upcoming DLC characters. Reputed leaker MultiverSusie claims that, among others, Angstrom Levy is coming at some point in the future. Levi, Immortal, and Universa are confirmed by Quarter Up, The Mauler Twins, Agent Spider, Damian Darkblood, Oliver, Dinosaurus, and Volcanicka. It remains to be seen, but at the very least, they will bring him into the fold.

Even further, hopefully the DLC characters come with new story chapters or something to that effect. The end of the story mode is incredibly abrupt, but it's easy to see how all of the aforementioned characters could be pulled into the story. As the players fight their way through everything, they can finally end up in Angstrom Levy, defeating him, but due to the damage of these mines to face Dinosaurus and Volcanikka. whatever, INVINCIBLE VS's story mode ending doesn't freeze in Angstrom's absence.
