The Pokemon TCG faces an incredible task when trying to adapt all of Pokemon's gods into a card game. Will it just be colorless Pokemon, or will each type get customization? This is the mindset behind the Pokémon TCG's Arceus set, which includes several unique and valuable printings of Arceus as well as its best creation, the Shiny Pokémon.

Arceus Lv. X $23.21
How Pokemon TCG Arceus Handles
One of the valuable Arceus cards that can be found within its own set is the Arceus Lv. X. While many cards share this name, there are some differences that set them apart. For starters, the moves Arceus can use require different energy types.
It can use Psychic Bolt which takes both electric and psychic energy to use. It does 100 damage. While it may not be impressive, Arceus Lv. X can use any move from its previous Arceus form that you have. It also takes the typing of Arceus below which makes it a good card to have in your collection.
7
Salamance Lv. X $25.36
Rewards card aplenty
Salamence is one of the best Dragon-type Pokemon from the Hoenn region. In the Pokemon TCG, the Arceus set also gives it Lv. X version that allows it to go one step further. This Salamence has a move, which is Steam Blast. For four energies, including water and fire-type energies, Steam Blast will do 100 damage.
Although it doesn't look good either, it's the poke power, Double Fall, that makes it worth it. This is your chance to get a second prize card every time Salamence knocks out a Pokemon. This can help you get all six faster during the format in which it is usable.
6
Arceus Lv. X $40.15
Power grass and fire
Arceus Lv. X has another variation in that it has different card art and moves differently than its other printings. It has the move Meteor Blast, which does 100 damage for a combination of grass and fire energy. However, it is not consistent, as you must flip a coin for the move to have full effect.

Anyway, this card is unique because it's one of the few cards that says you can have as many copies of the card in your deck as you want. This breaks the old rule of only having four copies of each name per deck. So it's a neat little piece of trivia when you show this card in your collection.
5
Charizard $41.91
Charizard returns
Although it may not be the most powerful Charizard, it manages to make it to the top when it comes to the most valuable cards. This Charizard has a holographic foiling that makes it the perfect addition to your binder full of sparkling cards.
What makes this card so interesting is its Fire Formation Poke Body. As long as you fill your bench with Fire-type Pokemon, you can do an additional 50 damage for each attack. So Fire Wing, which normally does 30 damage for one energy, can do 80 instead. Burning Tail also does 130 instead of 80 in these situations.
4
Bagan $44.00
Make the collector green with envy
Some shiny Pokemon don't differ that much in terms of color. However, others like bagan pop out more because of their vibrant colors. A glowing bagon found in the Arceus set of the Pokemon TCG shows the Pokemon standing on a thundering rock.
It may not have the greatest trick, but the card itself is worth collecting. It has reflective foiling that covers the body of the card and thanks to its colorless typing, this reflection looks great on a normally white card. So if you're on the hunt for flashy Pokemon cards, this is one you don't want to miss.
3
Gengar $83.84
Give your collection some awe-inspiring power
If you want to intimidate your opponent, the best thing you can do is shuffle the card on the field into their deck. This means they need to have the cards necessary to bring it back or draw it by chance. Gengar Lv. X, found in the Arceus set, can do this by using its Pokemon Power, Level-Down.

This can prevent your opponent from using Lv. X Pokemon. Meanwhile, Compound Pain can hit all of your opponent's Pokemon at once if they already have damage counters. So, aside from being a gorgeous holographic card with a glowing eyed gengar, it's also an absolute menace.
2
Shinx $85.29
Shinx does it best
Shinx's shiny version turns the normally blue cub into yellow. This is perfect because the body of the card is also yellow, providing a great color coordination that some of the most beautiful Pokemon cards have.
If any energy is attached to Shinx's Star Barrier Poke body, it removes all of its weaknesses. If your opponent is one prize away from victory, Shinx's Payback Move does 40 damage instead of ten. It's not much, but it's always nice to have your Pokemon face adversity.
1
Ponyta $107.98
Arceus is the most valuable card in the set
If you're wondering what's the best card to pull from Pokemon Platinum: Arceus, then you'll be surprised to know that it's Shiny Ponyta. It is not a powerful legendary Pokemon but one of the most underrated fire-type Pokemon from the Kanto region.
Like other Shiny Pokemon, this Ponyta has a Star Barrier as its Poke Body. It also has a move that mirrors its card art, named Blue Fire. It does 50 damage for two energy. When you look closely you will really realize how magnificent the blue-flame ponyta can be. So if you have it, feel free to have the most valuable Ponyta card ever printed.
